Hasn't anyone noticed that Ash always lose in the second round the championship part of the leauge thingys except for the orange islands(if he just would have let his pokemon elovle then he might have won johto).

The writers will never let a main character win a tournament such as the Grand Festival or regional battle tournamets. The writers are in control, and they always make the main character fall short of their goal

I agree. If they win then pokemon would technicly end. But at the end when pokemon does end. I can see Ash becoming the pokemon master. And why did you go making this thread? There is nothing to really discuss here.

Pokemon will end and:

Ash will become the best Trainer ever
Dawn & May will be the best Coordinators to ever live

and Brock will be the best... girl picker-upper ever. lol jk, probably breeder, and misty will be best water trainer. Paul will be worst jerk ever

That is exactly why Yu-Gi-Oh ended, Yugi won everything. Even the one time the fate of the world didn't rely on some stupid card game and oversized necklace. If anyone ever won the Pokemon league or Grand Festival, people would root against the main characters, and they would lose interest.

Not really. They could make Ash battled the elite 4, for winning the Sinnoh league, he beats all of them but when he gets to Cynthia, he loses. He then travels on to the next region. Just because they win the biggest event of that region doesnt mean they are a pokemon master or coordinator.

-^-they have changed that motto long time ago and for good reason, i wud say. if Gary was the main star then it might have still been the catchwords.

That's not correct, there are more YuGiOh epizodes after all that but they didn't have it on TV ...

more pokemon for ash means lesser screen-time for each one. now we dont want that, do we?

Well... Any Stage 2 at this point waaaaaaaaay over a measly basic Pokemon (other than Larvitar). =/

I dont get whats stopping Ash from winning a pokemon league and then traveling to the next league? What? Champions aren't allowed to travel to other regions?

And he always improves or ties with his last year's result.
Can't it be more realistic and have him come random all over the place?

If he only one one or two battles in the Sinnoh League or lost in the top 2, either would be better than him just reaching the top 16 or 8 like always. So far Sinnoh has been fairly unexpected, so hopefully they keep this up for the finals
