It finally passed...

Zimbabwe! no but seriously.there are so many loophole's already found with the new reform that it seems like it could be more of a hindrance to the American people and economy, personally they should have waited a few more years to make a new reform as this can plunge us all into an economic downfall. Take the global economic downfall, that had nothing to do with Canada but we got hit very hard because of it (we didn't start to get hit until three months after the states got hit meaning that we were getting money sucked out of us by the states, if you disagree thats because you don't live here to know the dmg we took from America's economic fall, not to mention the fact that more then half of our business's are American owned). so this could really make or break America depending on what the American people's and government will do. cya

P.S. $940 Billion + 10 year's = America as a third world nation or America as a continuing super power

Well, it works fine in all of Europe. Free healthcare for all doesn't suck money out of public spending. From what I have seen, it means that people don't have to pay for insurance money. How much does it cost you if you have cancer? Free in Europe.

I think it'll be a lot better than what we have had in the past.

For anyone who wants a quick rundown on what the Health Care Reform Bill does, you can read a very
simple breakdown of effects by year:

I believe it has a lot of potential, but the government needs to keep a good eye on it and not let if fail like the Medicare and Welfare programs, which are putting the government more into debt.

What I do like about the Bill is that it prevents insurrance companies from denying coverage based on a pre-existing condition, which for me is a jump for joy, because I have rhematoid arthritis and I could easily be denied coverage.

What I do wish was included in detail would be coverage of domestic partners and more support to the LGBT community, but thats just my personal biasness. :p

$2.5 trillion yippie. after reading that Europe seems pricey but pretty nice. ever looming debt shall impend you all, unless your a senior, crazy, or really medically whatever, your fine. have fun. cya

the public overwhelming opposed obama care but he jammed it through anyways. mr. transparency turned out to be back room deals and bribes in order to get this passed and further his progressive agenda. this will cripple America!

Exactly what I was thinking. Obama and friends are insidiously taking our freedom away from us with each bill passed without the people's consent. Soon America will be "the land of the free" no longer.

Ice Espeon I'm going with your word on it, however I still think this new bill that has been passed by both the House and the Senate will more than likely prolong the current U.S. Recession not try to end it sooner, sure getting Health Care back on track is a step to helping recover the Economy in a sense but I don't see how that is.

Also considering how big the bill that's been passed into law is which includes bylaws to help compensate the loss of a public option backed by the Government there's no cuts to help reduce the amount money this is going to put into the U.S. Deficit top the fact we're already spending money on both the Iraq and Afghanistan wars it doesn't help much either.

Im glad Health Care Bill passed, but I heard about 14 states are against the Health Care Bill. Many people are really angry about the passing the Bill. I've noticed on somebody in my neighborhood that has a sign that says, "Hands off My Health Care." Even on Youtube there was a really mad lady saying that this Health Care Bill will ruin everything.

Can somebody explain to me what would be so bad about America completely converting to universal healthcare? I'm not going to pretend I know more about this than I actually do, but I get the impression that a lot of Americans are, and are just repeating talking points they heard on TV but don't fully understand both sides to.

Well this entire bill is gonna cripple america. My g/f is in nursing school, and from what she heard, its gonna kill the boom we're currently seeing in the hiring for nursing. So one of the only growing jobs left is getting killed.

lolz, not a single Republican voted for it, and some Democrats even went against it. Final vote tally:
219 for, 212 against. o_O little bit of a close vote.

Maybe now that the bill has passed, they'll actually tell us what's in it? But nah, why do that?
