Can Itemfinder take back a supporter from the discard, or does it only work with items? Does this also apply to Junk Arm?

Yes. All cards that aren't Pokemon and Energy are Trainer cards. Things like Supporters and Stadiums are specific kinds of Trainer cards. Trainer refers to all of them while something more specific like Items only get certain Trainers.

No, junk arm only applies to trainer items.
