Hello all, and welcome to my first piece of art directly submitted to pokébeach!

Without spoiling too much, I'm working on a TCG set (DP-on), and I intend to actually create the cards(at least digital)! SO for now I worked on the first pokémon art for the cards, and it is none other than...

Dark Bellossom!

Please keep in mind it's just a sketch, and that the colours might be a tad off due to a malfunctioning monitor (constant greenish screen...), but I'll fix it as soon as my monitor is fixed as well. The basic idea was to have a Bellossom with a tad paler skin than the original, and with darker petals.

Also note that the ''dress'' will eventually also be more ''ragged'', as the petals of the flowers on her head are.

So please comment! ^^

That's great. I like how you put some cuts in the flowers. Looking forward to seeing your set. =]

Thank you all for your comments! :D I really like it when I get comments on my artwork, so that I know what people think of it! I'd also like to know what's good and bad about the drawing so I can stick with it or adjust it! ;)

Updated!! I ''finished'' her for now, And I'd like to hear your opinions!

I indeed changed some colours, which was needed for the shading. Note that my monitor's still broken so some colours might not be what I actually want them to be, so they might be subjected to change.

So, what do you think??

Both versions are very well done james. I like the second version of her...only thing is the shading doesn't fit my liking.

The colours in the second one look nicer IMO... they look less... artificial. Not that the colours of a normal comp-based thing are BAD, but they don't always look as nice :p

You've already had my views on the first one, so suffice to say that you know I like it already :p. But the second one is definitely cooler... it'll be interesting to see how well you incorporate this into a card background, that's for sure.

Brilliant as always man! Now just make it a decent card and you'll be laughing ^_^

The first one is definitely good, but requires more detail with the shading (which isn't there) and probably shouldn't have that outline.

The second is the first only with my comments on the first. While it looks more "real," I think your shading is a tad off.

Nevertheless, it's a good drawing.

Good work though. I agree with Calum about the colours.

The absence of shading is what keeps it from being perfect. ^_^

Other than that, I like the second one. Espically the effects. :eek:

Well, it's just the beanish effect for the shdaing...It is kinda chunky for different shadings, I can distinctively tell it is there. Unlike with others where is just flows. Hope this helped! :)

They look really cool. It would be a neat card image. Bellossom's pose looks like an evil pose and it's eyes look cool as well. I like both versions. The other one is more abstract with the shadings and such, and the other one looks more exact. But I'd love to see more of your work. That would be a cool Dark Bellossom for a new Team Rocket set. Your artwork is very cool! Nice job! :)

Hah I love this!

I'll offer some constructive criticism... the shading on the second one is slightly off. Is there any way you can blend those colours together (particularly on the leaves at the bottom)? I would also shoot for some shadows under the flowers on the head- not only would that look more realistic, but because that would give you the eyes hidden under the shadows too it would... look more evil. >: D

Okay, so I updated some colours, and I added the shade of the flower petals:)

what do you guys think now?

Sorry LV, but at the moment I'm not accepting requests.

Also, I added Dark Venomoth! I'll be uploading the card list of my set pretty soon (at least, I expect), so for now please keep on commenting on the art (so far)! :D
