Ruling Jamming Net Errata

I see that jamming net got an errata but I don't understand what the difference is. Can someone tell me what it did before the errata and what it does now? From what I understand the Pokemon that it is attached to would do 20 less to each of the opponent's Pokemons but not to it's own benched Pokemons or itself. That seems to be what it did before and that's still what it does from what I understand.

Jamming Net
The attacks of the Pokemon this card is attached to do 20 less damage to each of the opponent’s Pokemon (before applying Weakness and Resistance). (Don’t apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokemon.)

How it was changed: This tool should only impact the Pokemon belonging to the opponent of the attacking Pokemon.

With the new definition of Defending Pokémon to "All Pokémon that receives an attack", people could have said that things like M-Charizard-EX's Crimson Dive would have fallen into Jamming Net's effect, thus reducing the self-inflicted damage to 30.

This doesn't work like this, though, and that was the purpose of the errata. That way, damage from attacks like Crimson Dive wouldn't be reduced, because they are targeted at themselves; but attacks like Magnezone-EX's Dual Bullet would get reduced because they target opposing Pokémon.

Hope I made myself clear enough. :D

oh ok thanks. I didn't know that Defending Pokémon meant "All Pokémon that receives an attack", I thought it was just opponent's pokemon. Makes sens now :)

I can assure you that 95% of all players didn't knew until Jamming Net was brought into question, which then lead to the XY Rulebook, which states the changes. I myself didn't knew until then too! Dx
