BW/BW2 Japanese or English?

I don't care about the storyline, but I'd personally wait to buy the English version, despite being able to download the jap rom. I absolutely cannot play a text heavy games in another language.

Also, you wouldn't know what new attacks or items do, you wouldn't be able to tell your Pokemon's nature, and not know where to go or what to do unless you have a translation guide/wakthrough :/

So it would probably be better to wait until the English version unless you don't mind following a translation guide/walkthrough every step of the way. I sympathize with you though, it's going to be a long hard wait until the english versions next year -.-
 
I agree with Tarazuma.If you get the japanese version you will not understand anything and you will not enjoy the game at maximum.I personally will wait and buy the english version.I think you should wait too.You will get more excited when you will paly it english.
 
To crunch your thirst, you can follow walkthroughs on the internet to see what the game is like. That's what I'm gonna do this time since I don't feel like paying the extra bucks. Also, playing it the first time always feels the best, and I want "the best" to come in my English version. I pre-ordered the Japanese versions of Platinum and SoulSilver and I enjoyed them. However, this time it's a brand new game with brand new Pokémon, so I'd rather wait the extra months to get the full experience.

*Quench your thirst* Ontopic: I will choose english so i can read it with knowing what to do. Offtopic:Why did i give up japanese as a subject?
 
The story doesn't really change much in pokemon. "Oh look! I got [starter for that region]! Oh noes! there's bad guys there! Yay got a couple of gym badges! Woop, took down [team name] headquarters! Beat the last gym, and now on to the elite four. Killed them and champion. I'm now champion! What's this? I'm in my room?" and so on.

I'm getting the Japanese one :D

Well if you want to know exatcly what they're saying, then wait for english, if you want to play it because... you can't wait, then go for japanese XD
 
The game has DSi exclusive features, just like Sonic Classic Collection, which is a game that turned out to be region locked.

I suppose the DS lite will have to do.... I'm NOT waiting for a European release....

wel.. if you dont speak japanese, then you should wait a few more months for english...
 
Personally if youd want the storyline then you should wait.But for those who could care less about the storyline and care about the gameplay rather then the japanese version would be right up your ally.;)
 
I am going to get the english versions of both games.I would want to understand the storyline and everything thats going on.
 
Im gonna wait fot the english you should too but i know im gonna download the rom sooner or later once the japanese games come out just to try it like HG/SS

Don't talk about ROM's on non-ROM sites... It's looked down upon!


I'll be importing from Japan, but apparently I can't play it on my DSi... What will I be missing by playing it on DS lite? Hopefully just the 4-way chat thing...
