but you don't get the promos
As far as I know, you only get the promo when you purchase a booster box, in person, from a Pokemon Center in Japan. I would love someone to contradict me and tell me another place to pre-order to get the promo, even better, available to pre-order online and ships to the US. Shipping to Japan only would also be acceptable (if it has the promo) because Tenso is a thing...
I mean, you can pre-order from Amazon Japan and use a forwarding service, but Amazon Japan doesn't mention the pre-order promo card bonus. Anyone know if you get the promo if pre-ordering from Amazon Japan?
This particular promo doesn't appear to be PokéCenter exclusive, but instead simply store-exclusive which means that online-only retailers (like AmiAmi and Amazon) probably won't get them. There will be plenty of resellers selling just the promo through Y!J and the like, though.
Finally a FA Sycamore exists, but yeah chances are it won't see an English release until November or something.

same. also what does chespin have anything to do with this, I know in the mega evolution special there was that girl with a chespin. but still.
Definitely not the art I would have wanted, but it's still great to see more playable full arts in standard.
Really pokemon? This full art should have been released WAY earlier. I am so happy this came out even though the art looks a little weird. We need a full art Shauna and Hex. I am starting to wonder why we have full art Teammates and Xerosic :/

I'm really hoping that this is the case and the "new mechanic" teased is a return to dual-typing in the TCG. I missed that era of Pokémon and it always seemed so cool.
On one hand, the fact that they're specifically speculating about Volcanion's types might be construed as a hint towards that, but it could also just as easily be that there will be multiple Volcanion cards, or it could even just be meaningless hype.
I would be torn about dual types, since it wouldn't really be a new mechanic. Then again, breaks were pretty much Lvl Xs with slightly new rules, like how many you could have in a deck.
Competley random idea, what if the "New mechanic" is DELTA SPECIES, and Volcanion isn't Fire OR water.
At this point, I'm betting on dual-type cards...
