This card stays in play when you play it. Discard this card if another Stadium Card comes into play. If another card with the same name is in play, you can't play this card.

RE: GadgetJax's Toolbox! (Turbo Dragon Charge Deck!)

ZERO CHAIN UPDATE #1

As already mentioned, this set focuses around Altaria-EX, Salamence-EX, and their Megas. In addition, this set will feature Bisharp-EX and Darmanitan-EX as the side EX's, and Zygarde-EX and all the other exclusive cards from that deck.

This set also features all of the Kalos starters, and each one features an Ancient Trait variant. Chesnaught is the only one that is a Holo, but the Ancient Delphox and Greninja's will be Holos. In addition, every one of the Holo starters features an Ability to coincide with it. Also, as evidenced by the Ancient Chesnaught I did a while back, all the Ancient Trait starters will be their secondary Type. AWWW YEEAAH!

As for other cards in the set, I have decided not to reveal the set list until I actually finish every one of the un-leaked cards. The reason being is because I have made a huge amount of changes to the set list. So, there might be a few cards here and there that I SAID would be in the set, but won't be in the set. Also, I changed my mind about Prism Pokemon. They won't be in the set, but the Legendary Trio from Johto WILL make an appearence as Basics.

Here are my first 5 cards for the set. Think of them as a sort of teaser for what to expect, kind of like the offficial leaks done usually in CoroCoro...

Stage 2 - Greninja - HP140 - [W]
Evolves from Frogadier
658.gif

[W] Sniper Bullet
This attack does 50 damage to 1 of your opponent's Pokemon that has any damage counters on it. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokemon)

[W] [W] [C] Chaser Star 80+
If your opponent's Active Pokemon has no Retreat Cost, this attack does 40 more damage.

Weakness: [G]
Resistance:
Retreat: [C]
Stage 2 - Delphox - HP140 - [R]
Evolves from Braixen

Weakness: [W]

Stage 2 - Chesnaught - HP150 - [G]
Evolves from Quilladin

Ability: Root Overgrowth
Once during your turn (before your attack), you may discard 2 cards from your hand. If you do, search your deck for a card that evolves from 1 of your [G] Pokemon and put it onto that Pokemon. (this counts as evolving that Pokemon) Shuffle your deck afterward.

[G] [G] [C] [C] Toxic Knuckle 90
Your opponent's Active Pokemon is now Poisoned and Confused.

Weakness: [R]
Resistance:
Retreat: [C] [C] [C]
Basic - Altaria EX - HP140 - [N]

[C] [C] Energy Song 30

Retreat: [C]

When a Pokemon EX is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.
Basic - Salamence EX - HP180 - [N]

[C] Draco Decree
Shuffle your hand into your deck. Then, draw cards equal to the number of cards in your opponent's hand.

[W] [R] [C] [C] Shredding Fang 140
Discard 3 cards from your hand. If you can't discard that many cards, this attack does nothing.

When a Pokemon EX is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

RE: GadgetJax's Toolbox! (Zero Chain cards have arrived!)

ZERO CHAIN UPDATE #2

While the previous leaks contained a lot of appetizers, this leak is all about the main attraction of the set: Ancient Traits!

This set features 2 new Delta Traits, Force and Shield. They are pretty much Muscle Band and Hard Charms in the form of a Trait. Force makes each of your attacks do 10 more damage for each Benched Pokemon you have in play, and Shield reduces any damage a Pokemon receives by 20.

Stage 2 - Greninja - HP130 - [D]
Evolves from Frogadier
A Growth When you attach an Energy card from your hand to this Pokemon (except with an attack, Ability, or Trainer card), you may attach 2 Energy cards.
658.gif

Ability: Shadow Shuffle
Once during your turn (before your attack), you may shuffle up to 5 cards from your discard pile back into your deck. If you do, discard the top card of your deck for each card you shuffled in.

[D] [C] Mirage Burn 50x

Weakness: [F]
Resistance: [P]

Stage 2 - Delphox - HP140 - [P]
Evolves from Braixen
O Barrier Whenever your opponent plays a Trainer card (excluding Pokemon Tools and Stadium cards), prevent all effects of that card done to this Pokemon.

As often as you like during your turn (before your attack), you may move a [P] Energy from 1 of your Pokemon to another of your Pokemon.

[P] [C] [C] [C] Magic Flame 80+
If this Pokemon has any [R] Energy attached to it, this attack does 50 more damage.

Weakness: [P]
Resistance:
Retreat: [C] [C]
Stage 2 - Chesnaught - HP160 - [F]
Evolves from Quilladin
D Force Each of this Pokemon's attacks do 10 more damage to your opponent's Active Pokemon for each Pokemon on your Bench. (before applying Weakness and Resistance)
chesnaught.gif

[F] [C] Guard Press 30
During your opponent's next turn, any damage done to this Pokemon by attacks is reduced by 30 (after applying Weakness and Resistance).

[F] [F] [C] Scatter Knuckle 100
You may discard an Energy attached to this Pokemon. If you do, this attack does 10 damage to each of your opponent's Benched Pokemon. (don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokemon)

Weakness: [P]
Resistance:
Retreat: [C] [C] [C] [C]

RE: GadgetJax's Toolbox! (Ancient Greninja, Delphox, and Chesnaught!!)

You should probably check over Scatter Knuckle ;)

ZERO CHAIN UPDATE #3

Mega - M Salamence EX - HP220 - [N]
Evolves from Salamence EX
D Force Each of this Pokemon's attacks do 10 more damage to your opponent's Active Pokemon for each Pokemon on your Bench. (before applying Weakness and Resistance)

Weakness: [Y]
Resistance:
Retreat: [C] [C]

When a Pokemon EX is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

I know it's a small update, but I just haven't put much thought into new cards yet. Stay tuned, as I plan to bring a plethora of new ones within the coming days!

ZERO CHAIN UPDATE #4

Here are a few more randomized cards. This should give you a good idea of what to look forward to in Zero Chain! I'm trying to get into the habit of making NFE Pokemon slighty stronger than they usually are, especially for Pokemon that received evolutions generations after their debut, such as Magneton and Scyther.

Basic - Exeggcute - HP40 - [G]

ZERO CHAIN UPDATE #5

In total, I plan to have around 8 Pokemon with Delta Traits in this set, and 4 Pokemon each for the Alpha and Omega Traits. While Delta Evolution will be featured in this set, it will not be on either of the Megas. Also, like stated, while I will try to slightly focus on featuring specific traits on specific kinds of Pokemon, I won't be following the trend set so far that only Land-based 'mons get Omega, Water-based 'mons get Alpha, and Sky-based 'mons get Delta. None of that here, folks! Honestly, a Psyduck with Omega Barrier would be completely plausible!

Furious Fists and Phantom Forces both had a Stage 2 line that tied in with the corresponding Mega of that set because it was that type. For this set, that Stage 2 is Haxorus, with a corresping Trait variant and supporter card: Zinnia's Ancient Methods!

Basic - Axew - HP60 - [N]

[C] Growing Tusks
Attach a basic Energy card from your hand to this Pokemon.

Stage 1 - Fraxure - HP90 - [N]

Stage 2 - Haxorus - HP140 - [N]

Trainer - Item
Evo Patch

-

Shuffle 2 cards from your hand back into your deck (if you can't shuffle in that many cards, you can't play this card). Choose 1 of your Pokemon in play. If you have a card in your hand that evolves from that Pokemon, put that card on that Pokemon. (This counts as evolving that Pokemon.) You can't use this card during your first turn.

You may play as many Item cards as you like during your turn(before you attack).
Trainer - Stadium
Emerald Cavern

-

Once during each player's turn, that player may look at the top 3 cards of his or her deck and put them back on top of that deck in any order.

This card stays in play when you play it. Discard this card if another Stadium Card comes into play. If another card with the same name is in play, you can't play this card.

RE: GadgetJax's Toolbox! (Prepare to be amazed!)

A new kind of Mega Evolution concept I've been experimenting with that works similarly to LVL X cards.

A Mega Evolution Pokemon can be played onto any of your Pokemon that evolves into it at any time during any of your turns, including Turn 1 and the turn that Pokemon was put into play. A Mega Evolution also retains any attacks and abilities from it's previous evolution.

Here's my exerimental Charizard for this concept. If it gets popular enough, I might start re-booting the XY series with a few asthetical changes to the formula, such as EX's not existing, revised Weaknesses, and a move back to Pokemon with 3 attributes(ala LucarioEX).

Stage 2 - Charizard - HP150 - [R]
Evolves from Charmeleon
006.png

[R] Fire Tornado 20x
Does 20 damage times the number of [R] Energy cards in your discard pile. Then, shuffle all those cards back into your deck.

[R] [R] [C] Heat Tackle 130
This Pokemon does 30 damage to itself.

Weakness: [W]
Resistance: [F]
Retreat: [C] [C]
Mega - M Charizard X - HP170 - [N]
Mega Evolves from Charizard
006-x.png

Ability Wrecking Flame
Once during your turn (before your attack), you may look at the top 5 cards of your deck. Discard as many of them as you like, then put the rest back on top of your deck in any order.

[R] [R] [D] Dragon Spear 80+
If this Pokemon has any damage counters on it, this attack does 40 more damage and your opponent's Active Pokemon is now Burned.

Weakness: [N]
Resistance:
Retreat: [C] [C] [C]
This Pokemon can use any attack or ability from it's previous stage.

What do you guys think? If you like the idea, let me know and I'll do that instead of Zero Chain, as I'm honestly running out of ideas for Zero Chain cards. Your support is welcomed with open arms!

RE: GadgetJax's Toolbox! (Rebooting XY?)

Personally I don't mind. If you want to go XY, than I would stick with EXs, but you could go and do your own series, giving you a lot of things to play with.

RE: GadgetJax's Toolbox! (Rebooting XY?)

FINAL ZERO CHAIN UPDATE

Well, after a bit of cynical decision making on my behalf, I decided that I don't want to continue on with Zero Chain. I know that there are defenitely a few people out there who are going to miss this project, but I really just can't think of much more to follow the set. I've already made 2 fake sets, 11 1/2 team mini-sets, and tons of singular cards within the span of 10 months, and it really is wearing on me. As such, I'll be starting work shortly on a re-boot of the original XY sets with a restructure themed around a sort of 'what-if?' concept. As a sort of apology to anyone who was really looking forward to the set, I made a last few really strong cards as a finale. I hope this is enough to tide you over before I get around to the full changes that will be brought out from 'Rebooting XY'.

Mega - M Altaria EX - HP190 - [N]

RE: GadgetJax's Toolbox! (Rebooting XY?)

So, just what is this 'XY Reboot' that I am starting? Well, to explain that, we have to go all the way back to Next Destinies, or moreso the BW series in general. There are a lot of things that BW did that XY has followed endlessly, and most of these things may be little at first, but they ultimately ruin creativity when making XY cards.
So, I have a few questions to propose: What if BW continued the 'Lost Zone'? What if BW kept the HGSS trend of up to 3 in any combination of Attacks and Abilities? And most importantly...

...what if EX's never came back?

This XY Reboot is a personal take on what the first XY set would have been like if BW didn't set so many of these staple trends. Below is a list of all the attributes of BW/XY that I am changing, for better or worse:

-The UR/SR cards here are Mega Evolution Pokemon, which work nearly indentical to LVL X cards,

...what if EX's never came back?

This XY Reboot is a personal take on what the first XY set would have been like if BW didn't set so many of these staple trends. Below is a list of all the attributes of BW/XY that I am changing, for better or worse:

-The UR/SR cards here are Mega Evolution Pokemon, which work nearly indentical to LVL X cards, with only a few changes here and there. You can run up to 4 of them in your deck since they don't share a name with the root Pokemon, and you can play it onto your Benched Pokemon as well. Each full set will feature 4 Megas while a mini-set features 2 and a half-set features 3. Full Arts from Black/White thru Noble Victories are still here as well for specific Legendaries, around 3-4 per set.

-The Lost Zone is back and in full force! Gen 4 was kind of sleazeballish towards it by featuring it only on a couple of unplayable cards (EXCEPT GENGAR PRIME) and Trainers. However, The Lost Zone is going to try and be used much more commonly. Expect around 9 cards per set to function around the Lost Zone.

-Weakness order is the same as XY with a few exceptions. Dark Types have Fairy Weakness, Fairy Types have Dragon Resistance, and Dragons are still Dragon Weak.

-3 attributes is back! Pokemon won't have more than 1 Ability ever, but it is still possible for them to have 3 attacks or 2 attacks and an Ability. I know Lucario-EX did have 3 attacks, but he's the only one from XY and his final attack is just a 3 for 100 anyway. Not the most thrilling :(

-I won't be listing Rarities for cards. Aside from a third coating of authenticity, it doesn't add anything to the card and can take forever to sort out.

The first set for this new reboot will obviously be 2 half sets themed around X and Y, featuring Xerneas, Yveltal, and 7 Megas. The 'Japanese' release of X Collection features Mega Charizard X, Mega Blastoise, and Mega Banette. Y Collection features Mega Venusaur, Mega Ampharos, and Mega Kangaskhan. The 7th Mega featured in the English release of XY1 is Mega Charizard Y, which is a Japanese Promo. Each Japanese set will feature 60 cards and 2 FA SR cards, and there are 5 Japan Promos in the English release of the set, totaling to 129 cards in the English set.

That's all for now.
