Hello everybody,

tl;dr

I made a deck based on trying to deplete the opponent's deck out as soon as possible all whilst keeping my Pokemon alive. The star of the deck, in my opinion, is Jirachi. And the type is {M}.

Long:
I used to be into pokemon a lot, I would buy and trade the cards, I would play all the games, watch the show, go to the movies, and even get some collectibles. I lost my fascination as I thought it was for kids. I still use a #01 Bulbasaur wallet every day (even though it's been torn to shreds). My GF bought Pokemon Yellow version and an old GBA SP, and ever since then, she's been hooked on Pokemon, and it's got me nostalgic. I've been buying Pokemon card lots online, and I'm as ecstatic as I ever was.

I recently build a deck using Redshark, and if it works out, I want to convert it into an IRL deck. Please provide any constructive criticism.

A few cards I'd like to highlight:
4X Jirachi
--2{M} energy (discard), it knocks out the pokemon.
2X Metagross
--3{M}2{C} 50 Damage, Flip a coin, if heads, opp. discards an energy
All of the other cards are basic, and they also have some sort of attack that requires a discard.

*[Attached is a quick overview of the cards in my deck.]*

Since this decklist uses cards that are not in the Modified Format, you're going to need to add Unlimited into the title or this thread will be locked.

I learned about this unlimited thing when I was battling with someone. He also told me that no one would play with me. At the risk of riducule, I'll admit that I was not aware of this modified, post Majestic Dawn card format. I'm trying to rebuild my deck now.

I can see that your deck could work okay, just with a few replacements. By this I mean your deck concept. The legal cards for you to use would be:

Metagross LA and Absol G LV. X with Absol G and probably Vileplume UD and Spiritomb AR to help against SP's. Now, I won't guarantee this deck would beat all of the metagame decks consistently, but you will probably be able to beat whomever against you play often and some metagame decks. You would probably include Unown Q and maaaybe Victreebel TR to help you with your deck concept. In case you haven't guessed, it would be to pull up Pokemon with high Retreat cost from your opponent's bench, then use Doom News on them to kill them on the way back to your turn. With Unown Q, you can get out multiple Absols and use Doom News more often, as well as Poketurn to use Absol G LV. X's Pokepower (While not the focus of the deck, still disruptive) more often. Victreebel can turn low retreat Pokemon into high retreat Pokemon, and Vileplume and Spiritomb slow SP decks down and prevent Poketurns from messing up your Doom News's. Absol G LV. X also has a higher HP than Absol G.
