Apparently the replacement is some guy named Danny. I haven't watched the new episode with him in it yet so I can't make a true judgment call, but I have to say I'm rather upset and kind of confused about this.
Like, they just made those Grump/Not So Grump shirts, and hit 1 million subscribers. Kind of a weird point to just suddenly up and leave isn't it?
I mean I respect Jon's right to work on his own thing but I'm not sure if I'm still going to be taking a 20 minute break every day for some new Grumps. Their friendship dynamic was my main reason for watching, not the games, so... ech.

How do you other Grumplings weigh in on this?

I already don't like the new guy. Jon was amazing, this guy.... I dunno?
 
If I remember right they spend all day every Friday recording stuff and they even said it never got in the way of their work. I don't know why it suddenly has. Either way, I hate Danny. Not from the Grump episode, but in general. NinjaSexParty is /awful/ even with the help of Oney's flash skills.

More time to work on his own show (Jontron). Like I said, I respect that, but y'know. Sads.
There's always the chance of him coming back later but for now it's Danny (who I've read just now is some guy from NinjaSexParty; never seen anything from them, at least not that I can remember).
 
I think there are only like 5 Grumparians on these forums anyways, but whatever.

If he wants to work on more Jontron, that's fine with me. Danny's a cool guy too, I think it just takes some getting used to. It'll be a rough transition, especially with all of that merchandise that featured Jon and Arin, but I think it will work out fine in the end. I just hope the fanbase doesn't rip itself apart like so many others on YouTube have done.

And besides, I don't think this will be the VERY LAST we see of Jon on the show, you know?

Thanks for telling me. I am glad that Jon is working on his original channel now (I love it!), and when he went to the Grumps, he basically abandoned it. He only made videos every 4 months or so. Same with Egoraptor, he never makes anymore animations, and the Pokeawesome 2, that one sucked! It was just saying to the fans: Heres an animation. Now shut up.

After reading the Friday night thingy, assuming it is true, this puts a new spin on things. They also had some guy from NinjaSexparty (Silly name), just to advertise the channel. I saw a bit of the new video, its like that one friend who is socially awkward hanging out with you.

Honestly what's getting to me the most is how sudden it all was. Like... Just an hour ago BAM Jon's leaving BAM here's a video with the new guy ok bye Jon.
Like damn, couldn't we get a bit more of a smooth transition than that? I know they've talked about how Grumps gets in the way of their personal projects but I don't recall seeing anything to the effect of "Jon's leaving for reals soon".

He had actually been working on Pokeawesome 2 for quite a while (Grumps took up most of his spare time, WHAT A COINCIDENCE), and he made Console vs. PC soon after, which is really good.

I find it hilarious that people yell at Jon and Arin for the fact that they don't make anything for their personal channels anymore, yet when one of them leaves to do exactly that, those same people get even angrier. It's pathetic.

also people are googling the shit out of "Jon leaves Game Grumps" and this thread has like 20 guests as a result

This...this is very sad. I just finished watching the newest video with Danny and I can't say anything bad about him. I actually laughed a few times and I was a little impressed with how entertaining he was. I mean, nothing outstanding, but I was prepared for something worse for the next few days just to help him settle in, but I'm happy that's not the case.

In the end, it's going to be fun seeing what new content JonTron starts dishing out. I don't know if Danny will be able to replace him fully, but at least he's doing what he wants to do. If he's more interested in growing his personal channel at this time, then I hope all the best for him in that regard.
 
I hope Jon's gonna concentrate in his own channel now. I really liked Jon's top lists and stuff. xD

I really haven't been that much into the Game Grumps show, but it was ok with Jon. :D

Oh trust me, I'm not against the change either. Looking back at my post maybe it looked like I implied something different. All I was trying to say is that there are people who clearly don't like change and therefore are going to be disliking a bunch of videos for a little while. I'll have to see more Stream Train before I make a true judgement on whether or not I'll watch it. Chances are that I will, I wasn't terribly impressed but I don't have any problems with it either. Ten extra minutes of free entertainment is a plus in my book.

So considering his motivation for leaving, to work more at Game Grumps, I'm going to settle myself into enjoying his Jontron videos again!

I hope he returns in some sort of special episode or a hat-tip later on. I gotta admit, I DO personally prefer Jon's brand of humor than Danny's.
