Josh's Gallery Banners/Tutorials/PSDs and Misc pieces!

RE: ~ Josh's GFX Gallery ~ Update: T-Shirt Designs! ~~ ~

All right now that the contests are over.
I feel it's fine to update my gallery now ;)

Here was my Art of the Week # 9 Entry
f o r e v e r

This one was one of my first ever photo manipulations. Also I hadn't done one in ages.. and even before I was terrible at it.
I quite liked this but had some quality issues that I didn't pick up initially.

And this one was my Pokemon Fan Art of the Week Contest #2 entry
My Patronus is an Arbok

Well this one didn't perform as well as I'd have hoped.. having received no votes. But the other entries were amazing so ah well ;)
I just had an idea to try make a unique entry that other contestants are definitely not going to do and I was pretty happy how it turned out. Crossing over one of my favourite ever movie series and pokemon was amazingly fun to do ;) Albeit making the patronus was a bit of a pain..

Anyway I would love to hear some comments on these !
What would you have changed? Do you think I should have taken a different route?
I don't mind so just leave a little comment please ;)

RE: ~ Josh's GFX Gallery ~ Update: T-Shirt Designs! ~~ ~

Updated thread's featured arts of the week! So please go and check them out!

New Piece
After seeing how a few colours worked I decided to turn it into a series to display them all easily!
The yellow/purple really surprised me at how well the result looked.

Elgyem Signature Series

So yeah guys please comment and tell me what you think!

Well, with the dark lady pictures, things tend to look out of place and somewhat unnatural. I would suggest trying to blend things a little but more. I like the Elgyem banners, but again, with the blending. Try adjusting the color and edges of your renders, it helps them blend. Often I blend the edges of my renders and just change the hue, saturation, and brightness to help it blend and it works fine. Really small things can make a big difference. I really like your style and I enjoy seeing your image.

Your comments are always awesome <3

Yeah the blending was one of the issues that I hadn't realised at first. Blurring and colour adjustments were something that I didn't invest too much effort into but after seeing the result actually uploaded, I could definitely see the obvious issues - e.g. the leaves >.>

Thanks for the advice and I will definitely try to utilize them in my future works!
Once again, thanks for the comment ^.^

Updated thread with new Work!
New Work:

Made this for Martini who requested it from me!
Remember if you want to request a sig, I will happily do so but post on my profile!

Made these quickly for RMT.
I think they look alright but all were pretty rushed jobs.
I chose the recurring effect shown (The orange effect c4d) just to tie the pieces together some way or another.

Once again, you need to make sure your renders fit your images. Adjust the hue, saturation, brightness, and blur the edges and you could see great improvements.

Doing well, and I like your works so far.

Dude, your Umbreon banner is AWESOME. :D It's really good! I especially like the blue, that was really cool. Great job at your other banners too!

RE: ~ Josh's GFX Gallery ~ Update: T-Shirt Designs! ~~ ~

Thanks so much ^.^
That Umbreon ones is one of my favourite pokemon banners that I had made ^.^

Still no updates as of yet though.
Been busy with school and other commitments :S

Yo man.

You need to update.

Give a bro some lovin'.

And update.

Your anime girl sig and Azu-Nyan sig could use some work. The stock for the anime girl sig looks too sharp for the render. Not that you over-sharpened the lines, that kind of bg just doesn't look good with the render. The c4d you added to the sig doesn't really go with it either. Same for the Azu-Nyan sig. You just need to work on making the render look more apart of the sig, like it belongs there. Sometimes there isn't a stock that will match a render, so you may want to edit or distort it first. The real life backgrounds don't always look good with the anime style renders, initially.

Your mewtwo sig does a better job at this. The colors and space look is nice.

Sorry I could have sworn that I replied to this..
Maybe it didn't post properly :3

Anyway...

I know what you mean about the quality issues and such. I haven't really made a "proper signature" in a long time and these are just quick 5 minute ones :3 Minus the MewTwo one aha.
However on the "Anime Girl Signature" I was actually going for that sort of style. I had seen it a lot and tried to replicate it but yeah I think I missed out a few things that helped it fit together such as the over sharpened look - as you pointed out.

Thanks for the comment! I really appreciate feedback

I have a bunch of work to upload and it should be up tomorrow some time ^.^
