If you want some super thought out story line, go watch a drama movie. An action movie has one goal and one goal only; entertainment.
Is this the age of measly justifications? I could've sworn this is the exact same (or something similar) line people used to defend transformers films, including the god awful second film in the series. Defend the films you like by pointing out the good points of the film, not the standards it's not supposed to live up to. And correct me if i'm wrong, but did I have anything any in my last post complaining about the lack of an incredibly "deep plot"? No, It was the
lack of a decent plot period. And from what I heard, it didn't even have a script and they just tried to "improvise".
Lets be clear on something. If people found the movie disappointing and actually provided evidence to support why, you don't look at it as "being to tough". Thats almost like saying a school teacher is too tough on a student who doesn't study for a test and gets several wrong answers, strongly deserving of a failing grade. It's you disagreeing with the criticisms. And thats
just fine. However, using statements such as "If you want some super thought out story line, go watch a drama movie." makes you look bitter about the fact that the movie got less than acceptable, especially when the majority of people who did critique it have
never even implied that they wanted a deep plot. Same case with people who were upset with Twilight Princess getting an 8.8 from gamespot. It's just being bitter about the people who did not enjoy it as much as you did. That said, your post could be summed up as an accusation on people who did not like this movie.
@Bacon
That is exactly how our culture is. But that in no way means that Iron Man 2 should be cut slack just because.
