In other words, realize what your saying is flaming and/or not true and leave. Its rather obvious and hard to not know that its a boy singing, unless your trying to. Saying that whatever he sings is auto-trash is flaming. Go see if you can do any better.

What I'm saying is 100% true. What he sings IS trash, simply because he CAN'T actually sing. I could sing like that with all the junk they do with computers. I actually know a thing or two about the music industry, and how music works. The music that is written for him is a disgrace to any real musician. He's only popular at all because silly little girls like him. Just like silly little girls like Miley Cyrus, and the Johnas brothers. The fact that anyone actually listens to them really sickens me. America is so horribly ignorant when it comes to music...

First of all, I hate Justin Bieber, Hannah Montana and the Jo Bros. They're just not my style.

However, what you are saying is preposterous. People that write songs for many of today's popular artists, (many from the ASCAP group and other independent sources), have been classically trained, most of them right from their school band/orchestra program. That's both you and I, isn't it? So don't say that the music is a disgrace to real musicians. 'Real Musicians' wrote it, and let's face the facts, it's well-written, or it wouldn't be so popular.

It's clean, has good chord progressions, catchy melodies and hooks. The guys that write it know it does, they've been doing the electronic parts of these songs for years in this still-developing genre.

If you so happen to not like the type of pop music Justin Bieber puts out, that's just fine, but if that's the case, you cannot judge who is a 'real musician' in the genre or not.

The problem is, the REAL musicians never get any acknowledgment for it. After all, this thread is about JB, not the guy who wrote his songs. The only reason people write songs for idiots like this is because they get payed a boat load of cash. In the words of a fellow music student who is going into music production talking about what he thinks of working with such people, "here's that song you wanted. I'm going to go vomit now, and feel like crap for a week or so, but it's cool because you payed me a boat load of cash".

I see what you are saying about the credit for music, and I agree. However, I doubt the people that write his songs feel bad about their own work. I don't think you're going to agree, but there is a lot of skill involved in writing these kinds of songs -- they're expected to be hits. You have to know what's going to hit or miss with these 'silly little girls'. It's difficult to write a song that flows as well as Justin Bieber's (Or maybe not-so-Justin Bieber's) "Baby". Try it!

even though im closest to agreeing with you on this topic, you really need to drop the pretentious attitude that your taste music is so far superior to everyone else's. i'm sure i know just as much (probably more) about autotune and vocoders and pop music production, and you're right that he most likely has no vocal talent at all, but the same principles can be applied to a lot of other music genres as well. it "sickens" you that other people have different taste than you? the only scary part is that disney and the other people marketing these musicians are extremely accurate at finding what their target audience will want to listen to. people enjoy it, and they are just as entitled to as you are to the music that you enjoy. there is no ignorance in finding certain sounds appealing to your ears.

That's... really stupid and lame. You're being one of those losers who dismisses something because it's popular and "kiddish," without bothering to actually give it a chance. Like others do with Pokemon. See? Granted, I don't love Justin Bieber's music, but that's because I've listened to it and gave thought as to whether or not I like his style. I realize that this will be considered flaming, but I really don't care. Someone needs to tell you how ignorant and ridiculous you're being.

Well heres the thing, I grew up with pop music being N'Synce, BSB, Britney and Christina. I grew up before the teeny bop era, and quite honestly I'm tired of it. With Disney and what not trying to find the next teen idol and raping these lil kids of a childhood. There is no such thing as a childhood for them, they're thrown into the spotlight. And ooh, I never listened to it says I can't judge? All teeny bop music is the same. Nothing will work for pop like the boy band and bubble gum era. All of that is dead and maybe we will see it again, but in another 20 years though. And this is why I will not ever, and I mean ever give that music a chance. Call it flaming if you will, but I call it giving a reason for being "ignorant" if you will.
