i just thought of something. kabutops can combo with garchomp lv.x easy. for example, first the pokepower can spread damage around, and then attack to get kabutops with energy. then kabutops attacks with chop up, that does 70 and 10 to everything on the bench with damage on it.
 
Which does require you to get a Stage 2 LVX and a Stage 2 from a Fossil on the field. Yeah. Not something I wanna bet my money on.

Or you could discard a Kabutops from your hand with say, Bronzong, and then Rebirth it back as a basic...;D.
 
Or Bronzong, which can discard anything from your hand.
I could see Kabutops as one of the many techs in Garchomp.
 
As a tech? >_< I think the whole deck will be tech apart from the Garchomp line and maybe some discarder (how about Luna-sol?). I think Kabutops IS a good idea, makes it easier to get him out, seeing as he evolves from one of those dam fossils. If you do use luna-sol make your rebirth pokemon mainly fighting and psy... then a few extra Pokémon to counter metagame weaknesses.
 
I thought of it and posted it on pokegym already and yes, it is insane.

And you should use it with Lunarock instead
 
id prefer to have the Garchomps working alone doing 110 damage with super effective energy then it dies. then level up the replacement garchomp to spread hopefully 20 damage around then use rebirth and retreat the the newly revived garchomp. Due to the damage spread from the level X. pretty much every hit from the garchomp with be a 1HKO
 
Everything else in a garchomp lv.x decks besides the garchomp lines are techs. Simple as that. Garchomp can't really combo with anything. And yes, lunasol would work the best. maybe a 1-1 line or just 1 lunatone would work well.
