Pokemon:

  • 2x Yveltal EX
    1x Mewtwo EX
    1x Darkrai EX
    1x Jirachi EX
    1x Xerneas EX
    2x Xerneas XY
    1x Yveltal XY
    2x Cubchoo
    2x Beartic
    2x Spritzee
    2x Aromatisse
    1x Mr. Mime
Trainers/Supporters/Stadiums:

  • 4x Juniper
    3x N
    2x Lysandre
    3x Skyla
    2x Colress
    1x Pal Pad
    2x Bicycle
    4x Ultra Ball
    2x Startling Megaphone
    3x Muscle Band
    1x Prof's Letter
    1x Dowsing Machine
    2x Fairy Garden
Energy:

  • 4 Rainbow Energy
    3 Dark Energy
    5 Fairy Energy

Strategy:

Use Aromatisse to move energy around how I need. Yveltal EX would be the main attacker. Mewtwo for other Mewtwo/ psychic. Jirachi EX for supporter. Mr. Mime for bench protection. Darkrai EX/ Fairy Garden allow for redundant free retreat. Yveltal XY/ Xerneas XY for energy support. Beartic for Pyroar counter and for a non EX attacker.

So far, I play test against Pyroar and a Seismitoad/ Garbodor. Pyroar was an easy win but Seismitoad was hit or miss.

I'd love for some feedback/ suggestions!

RE: [BCR-On] Keeping Yveltal Alive! (Yveltal EX / Aromatisse)

Here's an idea. A guy at my local league played an Yveltal EX/Aromatisse deck for quite some time and I noticed the obvious and annoying presence of Virizion EX. Since he ran rainbow energy, he could use Virizion's Verdant Wind to deny his opponent's statuses. I'd recommend taking out Xerneas EX for Virizion EX since, while Xerneas EX is not a bad attacker per-say, he pales in comparison to Yveltal EX.

Oh wow. I never thought of that. That could really hurt the new fighting decks that are using Landorus EX and Laser/Virbank.
I'm not too much of a fan of Xerneas EX anyway. Takes too much to do too little.

Thanks for the idea!

Since Fairy Garden is, as you said yourself, a bit redundant with Darkrai, have you considered using Shadow Circle instead? It'd eliminate Darkrai's weakness to Lando/Lucario EX, as well as Yveltal's weakness to (Mega) Manectric EX. Fairy Garden is great with Aromatisse, though, so playtesting would have to determine what's better.

I have yet to play test against fighting but I can tell you that it was nice to still have the option of retreat when my opponent ran Garbodor or when they played a Virbank to get rid of Fairy Garden. I do like the idea of Shadow circle for Mewtwo though. Most decks that run Mewtwo EX usually run more than one so after I bring out Mewtwo to counter to their Mewtwo, they can bring a second Mewtwo to knock me out.

Definitely something to consider. I'll play test Shadow circle vs. Fairy Garden at league Friday and see what works better.

Thanks!

Another option to consider is running both Shadow Circle and Fairy Garden. Just play 1 Fairy Garden with 2 Shadow Circle. Fighting is very very huge in the meta right now especially with all the Fighting Type support.

Hope this helps,

I play tested some more and noticed that it has a decent fighting match up. Beartic with muscle band can OHKO Landorus EX and Mewtwo EX matched well against Lucario EX. Mr. Mime works extremely well as a shield.

I think the biggest problem is too many pokemon, particularly bench warmers. I have Aromatisse, Mr. Mime, Jirachi EX, and Darkrai EX mainly for bench.

Max Potion will also do well considering I can Fairy Transfer all of the energy off, heal, and bring it back on and I think I will only run Fairy and Rainbow because I'm only going to use Dark Energy for 2 Yveltal EX.

So I'm thinking

-1 Darkrai EX
-1 Xerneas EX
-1 Yveltal XY
-1 Xerneas XY
-4 Dark Energy

+1 Fairy Garden
+2 Max Potion
+1 Startling Megaphone
+4 Fairy

Thoughts?

Max Potion is great and Startling Megaphone is key considering how many abilities your deck runs off of. You need an answer to Garbodor and right now, this is the only one. What have you found out from playtesting Shadow Circle.

So Shadow Circle helped with the Mewtwo match up but for now it didn't help my fairies or my Beartic at all due to metal being their weakness. I haven't really come across many electric pokemon because people aren't running them to counter Yveltal anymore. I really like the idea of Virizion on the bench because poison has been a big problem but I'm not sure if I have the space.hopefully running a 3rd Fairy Garden can eliminate some of the Virbank problems.
