Nothing's cooler than a real life Pokemon trainer! HA! I found this to be a pretty interesting read - this just goes to show that Pokemon can be life changing haha.

Different members, similar avatar. Take a closer look.

Anyways, that actually made for an interesting read. Pokemon is some serious business.

Admittedly, I laughed a bit on the inside. Sorry. :p

What I found fascinating was that even as a little kid, he actually looked it up on the internet. If only everyone was that proactive...

Because we DEFINITELY have the same sigs and usernames. Definitely.
Don't jump on CSJ for making a mistake, I also thought you were the same person. I don't always look at usernames to tell who posted, I memorize avatars and I do so out of habit without even thinking about it. The fact that it was basically the same post with less detail didn't help either. But back on topic...

Quite the quirky story, lol. People are saying Pokemon can change lives, and I would agree, but I that's just how our incredible world works in general. Something you may see as negative happens but turns out for the better and becomes positive in more ways than you can imagine. Good or bad, things happen for a reason and I think this short story explains that quite well. I enjoyed the quick read and am glad you shared it. :]

Everyone needs to use the exact same avvy to mess with Afro's head.

Not trying to troll, but that isn't really a good way of memorizing anybody... also Zyflair, you just gave me a good lol +10 brownie points

Awesome! If I had one inspiration to learn martial arts, it would probably be pokemon too. Let's hope no one uses this power for evil. Mwahahah. :D

Yeah you are trolling but it's not just you, I made a mistake and you guys are making fun of me for it. Are you guys deliberately trying to get me angry with the Dos Equis avatars? If this is a joke, I'm not laughing...

Sorry don't cut it. Go annoy someone else...

I don't know why, but this seems really funny, hope he can win gold for us Pokemon fans :p

EDIT: Only the story is funny, not the situation.

I love this story. It shows that Pokemon is something to literally fight for.

Very inspiring story as well as a good read! It just goes to show how much impact Pokemon can have in a kid's life.

I knew my olympic dreams would come true some day :D

All joking aside, congrats to this kid, and Im glad to see pokemon get some international attention.

I think it's funny, but not really that inspirational. I mean, a kid idolizes a possession. It gets stolen, he learns to fight, turns out he likes fighting, and becomes good at it. I don't find it any more inspirational than anybody else's Olympic story. It's IRONIC, though, because the possession happened to be a Pokemon card, and therefore I got a kick out of it.
