Kieran Special Illustration Rare from “Mask of Change”

Kieran’s Special Illustration Rare print has just been revealed from SV6 Mask of Change! The set will release in Japan on April 26th. It should then combine with March’s Crimson Haze to form our Twilight Masquerade set in May.

With how many other old mechanics have returned (the old style of ex's, TMs, Ace Specs, Terastal sorta being Delta Species in spirit), I do wonder if we'll get another equivalent of Shining/Star/Radiant Pokemon eventually.

...maybe that's how Stellar type will translate to the TCG?

Creatures' choice of "Pokemon with a Rule Box" vs a specific category of Rule Box Pokemon almost always comes down to whichever one makes the effect weaker. As best I can tell, Path to the Peak, Ting-Lu ex, and Iron Thorns ex are the only exceptions so far, all three of which are Ability lock effects weaker than the ones that already exist in Expanded.

Rule Box can include many different kinds of Pokemon which effects like Kieran may punish too much.

Generally speaking, if it affects numbers or damage, specify the exact Pokemon. If it is looking at something else such as the Pokemon as a whole or effects, just say Rule Box.

They don't want such cards to affect new rule boxes they can potentially do like radiant v2 or vstar v2
