RE: (SIGN UPS!) PokéBeach's Kingdoms.

Will Horsea and Bagon be allowed to have the Egg Move Dragon Rage? That will OHKO almost every level 5 Pokémon.

Edit: And Spinarak and Munna get Sonic Boom as egg moves. Will those be allowed? I think they can KO almost everything as well.

You mean every, Drohn. I can't think of a Level 5 Pokémon with 41+ HP :p

RE: (SIGN UPS!) PokéBeach's Kingdoms.

I think all pretty obvious things like that should be banned, in my opinion. >_> It's no fun for people to be able to autowin. Maybe it would be easier to just disallow Egg Moves entirely?

RE: (SIGN UPS!) PokéBeach's Kingdoms.

asdf
Not counting them. They're like, the only way for a Pokémon to survive, and Mold Breaker gets around that anyway I think.

No. Just no. If that was the case, I would have nothing to work with. I already have barely anything ;w;

Attacking
Win: Obtain 15% of opponent's land.
Lose: Victor takes a pokémon from you that you used in your battle.
You may not attack another player if you have 3 or less pokémon.
Every kingdom may attack once per day, not each player.

Don't you guys think this promotes only attacking the types that are weak against you?
You don't get a Pokemon from their team if you're attacking so why even bother attempting to attack someone you're weak against?
I know this is decided by how much land you own but it all boils down to your battling skills and the Pokemon you choose to take off other people.

EDIT: And if you lose Pokemon when you attack but can only gain Pokemon when you defend, how are we supposed to obtain new Pokemon straight away?

RE: (SIGN UPS!) PokéBeach's Kingdoms.

I don't really know how important egg moves are, so sorry if it was a dumb suggestion. >_> I don't know anything about battling.

I plan to give out Pokémon with my quests, and one of the quests I had in mind was having people fight against a kingdom they're weak against, so that would alleviate your concerns somewhat, if that counts?

Egg moves are the only things that are going to make you win battles. Without them we'll all be sitting tackling each other for an hour...

It really doesn't, we're already handicapped by the levels of our Pokemon. A lot of Pokemon have non-existent Egg moves and only get good when they evolve. Choices are extremely limited and then we can lose Pokemon so quickly but have to struggle to gain them.

The concept is weighted in a bad way.

Actually, consider this my resignation. I don't have enough time for it.

The idea was that, if there are a number of people in an alliance, it prevents them from automatically dominating the game. :p
Besides, quests and events will give people access to new pokémon early on.

RE: (SIGN UPS!) PokéBeach's Kingdoms.

As time progresses and people gain a diversity of pokemon, the game will become more fast paced as everyone will be attacking everyone

You can't lose your pokémon "so quickly" because you only lose them if you lose a battle that you start.
Again, this prevents kingdoms from losing their 'strongest' right away to some kingdom they're weak to.

Alliances aren't really going to matter though because their can only be one winner. All alliances will do is take out all the weak battlers first and the leave the people that actually know how to battle.

It would speed up the process immensely and would actually be more realistic, only the strong and sensible survive.

It actually wouldn't make the game go any faster.
The only way for the game to end is for people to run out of land. And now, that cant be avoided so the game can't go on forever.
The idea is to give everyone a chance. :p

RE: (SIGN UPS!) PokéBeach's Kingdoms.

People can only gain Pokémon if they get attacked by someone they can beat, but I think majority would not risk losing a Pokémon and go for a type advantage so they win. Even with give-aways it will be a while before my team is ready to fight a water-type team. I think this will end up with many not being able to gain more Pokémon due to being challenged by weaknesses.

A more fair solution would be a "Weakness Policy". We could take a Pokémon if we win (no matter whether you were challenged or challenged the other) unless we had a type advantage over the other person.

People lose land faster with less Pokémon. Although it would be unfair if people had a huge disadvantage with only 5 Pokémon from the start after losing to a disadvantage. That's why, read my previous post. :p

It would, with a strong team you can wipe the map of all the weak teams :p

Everyone was already given a chance when they chose their types, let the weak lose :D

RE: (SIGN UPS!) PokéBeach's Kingdoms.

The idea is that you don't rely on taking pokémon from other players. Hence why you don't take any by going after them.
You have your starting six, you have events, and you can trade.

RE: (SIGN UPS!) PokéBeach's Kingdoms.

I've done the description of my character. Is there anything I need to do until the second phase? It's kind of a hassle to read through a bjillion posts that are all /in and other descriptions.

Nope. You're all set until the game starts. :)
