Poker, huh? What, is finding a home for Absol a game to you? In that case, you clearly aren't suited to take care of it and I should probably raise the bar to 53 Gold!
 
Life is a game -- simple as that! And when Absol comes to live with me, I can promise lots of leisure and playtime to boot. I'm just preparing it for the fun with a bid of 54 Gold :D
 
You didn't stick to raising your bid by two, so clearly you couldn't stick to taking care of an Absol. With my offer of 55 Gold, I will try to ensure that it goes to the proper home!
 
Because those are not the rules of Poker; you raised your bid only by 1 Gold, so I copied you. As I will do now with my offer of 56 Gold :eek:
 
...But why would Absol want to live with someone who just copies other people? It'd be much happier with someone who could make decisions for themselves, like how I'm making the decision to raise the bid to 58 Gold!
 
I think that's a valid point. To show Absol that I'm seriously a trend-setter, I'm gonna go where no man has ever gone before -- I'm gonna raise the bid by 3 to 61 Gold!
 
I'll take it even further and raise it by 5 Gold--

Wait, then we'd actually be doing something Keeper actually kinda wants and be using standardised figures. We can't let that happen, so just 69 Gold for me!

Seeing as I was holding the highest bid at the time it was supposed to sell, I don't suppose the adoption shelter possibly had more than one Absol?:p

I noticed this too; I wanted to check who had the bid when the deadline was meant to pass and it looks like I was a minute late or something. :p
 
Deadline is whenever the adoption shelter cares enough to wake up to your antics. >:L
But no, if you guys care to keep bidding then you better have the higher bid. That's how auctions work.
