Yeah. I can see how you'd think that.

I think it adds more strategy because it adds some thought into who you penalize because you now have more than one target. I know some people have chosen to make an alliance for the auction and not harm each other, which would not normally have been done if you knew your opponent ahead of time.

Next time someone hosts Kingdoms though, they can try it that way! I'd be curious to see how it changes.

This one will stay up longer because I needed to end this one early, and I'll late to end the next one.
 
Since almost everyone has been nice to me this game, this decision is really tough to inflict the penalty on.

But there's 1 that is very evil (and will probably win this game) so... lets penalize Keeper again with the devolution sprays :)
