RE: Kingdra/Greninja ...Dusknoir?

I almost want to suggest trying a 1-1 line of delphox. You already have rare candy. But electrode is just more consistent and you dont waste the rare candy on it. Either way a few suggestions.

High Priority
3/4 Ultra Ball: Helps set up quick, gets water energy in the discard.
2 Level Ball: Gets out those small basics and middle steps with no discard.
2 Professor's Letter: To search for 2 basic energy. Amazing for this deck for Greninja attack and Discard Fodder.
4 Rare Candy: Skip Middle Steps.
3/4 Skyla: Grab those important trainers.
2 Middle Step: Seadra and Frogadier. With only 4 rare candy you need more middle steps.
1 Dowsing Machine: To reuse items like Rare Candy.
1/2 Bicycle/Roller Skates: To increase draw speed.
1 Tool Scrapper: To get rid of pesky tools
1 Super Rod: To get back pokemon.
1/2 More Draw Support: Colress, Bianca, other stuff to increase consistency.

Low Priority
2 Battle City: A poor mans sub for tropical beach. But every draw helps set up this slow deck.
1/4 Max Potion: Fully heal the pokemon at the cost of 1 energy.
1-1 Delphox: For Extra Draw
3 Muscle Band: For added damage.

Other Suggestions
Dont add electric energy. You dont want to attack with electrode anyway. Decrease water energy count to about 10, testing is needed though. In theory you attack with Tribullet to spread damage, add extra damage with benched greninja and then dragon vortex to replenish energy and go for big knock outs. If played right you wont need a huge dragon vortex since you will be doing so much spread damage. Thus it doesn't require a ton a energy.

RE: Kingdra/Greninja ...Dusknoir?

Dusknoir does work pretty well. I run a 1-1-1 line of it in my version of this fun deck. It is a bit of setup and thinking but alot of fun.

As I see it (imo)

-3 lighting for the 1-1-1 of dusknoir
+ 4 level balls
+ 3 ultra balls
+ 2 evosoda
+ 4 rare candys
+ 1super rod

Water energy should be at 10-11. Depends on what you like

Professor's letter is a good card for the deck
I would add
3 skyla
2 shauna
dowsing machine or computer search imo

I hope you get more feed back and make yourself a fun deck :)

RE: Kingdra/Greninja ...Dusknoir?

Also consider that (i've also developed my own deck version):

  • You may want to consider adding a Call for Family (CfF) attack Poké to facilitate your bench setup and one that can take early turn damage and not get KOd. Examples of these Poké are: Kangaskhan, Crygonal, etc. Another CfF Poké is Emolga; it also has free retreat, but only 70 HP. I'd suggest running 2-3 of these "bigger" HP CfF Poké too to mitigate your risk of falling 3+ prizes behind early game.
  • Should you consider not to run any CfF Poké, then consider adding at least 2 Super Rods. All of your basic Poké have "low" HP and can be easily 1HKOd by fast decks. So, Super Rods will help recycle these KOd Poké back into your deck.
  • Consider adding Exeggcute (Propagation) which can serve as reusable discard fodder. Given the need to run 3-4 Ultra Balls and Computer Search/Dowsing Machine, Exeggcute can be quite useful.
  • Through playtesting, you might find that 1-2 Energy Retrievals might also be useful depending upon your card-drawing (CD) engine. There just may be times when you need energy for Water Shuriken(s) followed by a Tri Bullet attack.
  • Given your CD engine and through playtesting, you may find that the 1-1 Electrode line may not be really that useful. Secondly, should either Poké be prized, you may have lost the use of 2 valuable card slots in your deck.
  • Dusknoir is not really needed, IMHO, since you can actually target designated, opponent's Poké with Tri Bullet attack and Water Shuriken(s). Plus, it's a 3rd Poké line you'd need to setup... and you may not have (or be given more than likely) the time to do so.
  • This deck is highly dependent upon your use of Greninja's Ability; so, I'd suggest running at least 2 Tool Scrapper and Dowsing Machine.
I hope you find these comments helpful.

RE: Kingdra/Greninja ...Dusknoir?

^ I agree on the Dusknoir and Eggs. Propigation is a huge blessing to this deck, even though you kind of do want to discard the Energy with Dowsing, Ultra Ball and Juniper as well as Greninja. I also feel like Dusknoir isn't all that impressive in the deck, and if you really wanted to add in another stage 2, I feel like Delphox would be the better way to go as it fills Electrode's goal better (and it helps me tremendously).

Electrode is actually really good in this kind of deck, so I wouldn't take it out. In fact, if you're worried about prizing them, I might even take out Dusknoir and beef up that Electrode line a bit. Dual Magnetic Draw never hurt anyone, after all! :p

RE: Kingdra/Greninja ...Dusknoir?

Dusknoir is better for conserving damage for decks like Empoleon that hit hard but don't get a lot of OHKOs, and with spread decks like Gourgeist. This deck is neither of those; it's a snipe deck. The difference is that in here, you pick what you do damage to, so you have much less of a need to move it around. You can snipe out specific threats and put big pressure on a lot of their Pokemon. While a Dusknoir -could- help, the set-up it takes isn't worth it at all. You'll want ultra ball and electrode. Hope this helps, and good luck.
