• When creating a thread in the Deck Garage, make sure that you post one deck per thread, you use the correct prefix, you have the set name/card number next to each card, you give a strategy for non-metagame decks, and give translations for all cards not available in English.

    When posting in a thread, be sure to explain all your suggestions thoroughly. Additionally, do not ask for advice in another member's thread.

Donphan line is here to be a counter to Kingdra's Electric weakness. We all know how popular Luxray GL Lv X is, and the deck can do with a way to one-shot it. Donphan Prime just happens to be the best way to do that.

Also, as a way to get around being Trainer Locked in the VileGar matchup, why not play Sableye SF or Smeargle UD? Both can help you get setup and Smeargle has the added bonus of you seeing your opponent's hand.
 
I say 2-2 Donphan line, just because it is just as good as Kingdra and is a stage 1, so don't need candies.
