Lavender Theory - Custom Card Project

FIRST POST IS ALWAYS UPDATED.

Basic Information

Welcome traveller! Lavender Town is a weird place, where everything you could, or even couldn't imagine can happen. Unseen evolution lines, totally new Pokémon, while some of them are totally unforgotten. This is the place where everything began, so you can see mostly classical Pokémon, while some others from other regions too. And the most important: the corrupted Pokémon of the tower are really dangerous, not because they are overpowered, but because they work incredibly well as a team. So, beware the power of the Pokémon Tower and Lavender Town, and let me introduce this interesting concept, the Lavender Theory.

Lavender Theory is a rethinking of not just the TCG series, but also some elements from the original Pokémon. It will include unseen Pokémon, totally new evolution lines, and some cards which will be the Lavender counterparts of the original Pokémon, so it will also playing with the Lavender Town Theory itself. In other words: it's a TCG project including elements mostly from the Generation 1, but with the best inclusions from later generations (like Baby Pokémon, some older nice desings, as if they were introduced in the original games/series).

I'm always opened for ideas, so if you have any Pokémon you want to see here, feel free to share it! Just like every comment, it is also really appreciated! And now, let's see the cards. It's in descending order, so the first card is always the latest update.

----------

New starters (Fakemon)

Just some Fake Pokémon starters I've made into cards. Still not sure if I should include these cards in this project, but until I decide, they'll stay here.

RE: Sheodon's Custom Cards

Totally forgot about it, thank you! (Fixed. And thanks for the comment too!)

RE: Sheodon's Custom Cards

I like the card! However, Lv.22 seems a little unreal for so low of power and he usually evolves at Lv. 12-16... I forget. But otherwise perfect

RE: Sheodon's Custom Cards

Thank you, I'm glad you like it! And yes, I totally agree with you, but I have two reasons why I wrote LV22:

1. As you can see, it's not only an owner's Pokémon, but also a Shiny. They are usually really special and/or get an Everstone to keep it in the Pokémon's original form. (Check Turtwig GL, it's also a starter and also LV20).
2. I just wrote a number there randomly. :p

Thanks for the response!

RE: Sheodon's Custom Cards

That's really good for your first fake. My fakes are nowhere near as good as that and I've tried faking for a few months. x3

Good job!

RE: Sheodon's Custom Cards

Thank you! I'm glad you find them impressive. The pleasure is mine. By the way, I've tried to find your custom cards, but I couldn't find any custom card threads made by you. Where can I check them?

Also, here's a new card I made, hope you'll like it. :)

I like this one too. Excellent job. Looks legit to me! Bravo!

Thank you. But I realized that I put "+30" at Resistance instead of -"30". Yeah, I'm still new. ._.

EDIT: Fixed that.

RE: Sheodon's Custom Cards

Marowak donk... They look great, keep it up!

RE: Sheodon's Custom Cards

Very nice fakes here, considering that you've only just started making them.

RE: Sheodon's Custom Cards

Great fakes! I think the Excadrill's Fissure is a little Overpowered though.

RE: Sheodon's Custom Cards

Thank you! I'm glad both of you like my cards. I agree that maybe Fissure is a bit overpowered, but I think it's not as overpowered as some of the today's cards. It's not guaranteed, and also if you reduced the defending Poké's HP, you still need to use the second attack, which has huge requirement. Sometimes you'll only have this Poké with only 1 energy when you use this attack. Yeah, it can hit -any- Pokémon, but Excadrill's HP is also low enough.

But that's just my thought, I can understand why you think that's overpowered. Just tried to do something unusual (especially in the current format), but I still need to learn how to balance cards. After all, it's my third card I've ever created. ^^

Also, here's my latest card. This one is a Fakemon.

That's why I said I can understand why do you think it's overpowered, but as I said, I'm still practicing to make better and better cards. ^^

Cool fakemon, I like that you've brought back Sableye SF.

Thanks, yeah, I liked Sableye SF's first attack and I think that a card like this with low HP is really balanced if it has an average/plain secondary attack.

Another card, the baby version of Lapras: Lappy. (This time, I used Neo design. I've just realized I like it better (along with EX-Series design) instead of DP-P, HGSS or BW.

RE: Sheodon's Custom Cards

Nice cards I really like Karmen's Bulbasaur and Trayton's Excadrill but Trayton's Marowak's art just seems off to me I think it might be that Staticky screen in the background.

I love Classic-era fakes! That isn't Neo, though. ;) It's Classic. Neo has a lightly more streamlined design and the signature "swooshes" found by the W/R in most other eras of sets. I have a larger collection of Neo-era blank which can be found here.

Thank you! Yeah, that background is a bit out of place, but I wanted to include at least one Gym background for 1 Gym Pokémon. :)

And damn, you're right! I guess I was wrong because I planned to use the Aah! collection, but then I found the PokéBeach designs and I didn't notice that they are Classic-era designs including gameplay elements like Baby Pokés. However, I'm glad you liked them. ;) So thank you for the comment! :D

This time, here's an EX- era fake! A legendary Fakemon!
