I've tried searching for a topic on this and nothing. So here it goes:

Is it just me or is the artwork on the cards from the Leafeon vs Metagross Expert Deck really awesome? Maybe it's just me because I`m a big fan of psychic/ghost types, but the artwork on other cards just seems really cool.

A lot different than normal it seems.
 
Yeah I think the next set's artwork is going to be awesome because them and the Battle Starter Decks' artwork as well.
 
I really don't like this artwork at all. I find it too hectic and linear, I never like the digital art that much in the first place.
 
Yea I'm in the same boat, I'm not too big a fan with the CG artwork. I like the nice backgrounds and style of the 2D artwork.
 
I'm not really a fan of that artwork. I will say the artwork that I have enjoyed the most, were the ones that looked like the pokemon were little clay sculptors.

Such as the Snorunt from the arceus set.
 
Omg, are you for reals?

I HATE the clay sculpture ones, every time I get one of those cards I want to tear it up. Absolutely hate them.

I personally prefer really good 2D artwork, but the reason I like these ones are the colours and the backgrounds, they are visually pleasing- they pop out at you.
