Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake?

So, someone at school told me that Nintendo is making a Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake for the 3DS soon!

Is it true? If so, I absolutely can't wait until it comes out! And I need to beg my dad for a 3DS.....I'm his favorite daughter, so I'll probably get it for my birthday or something :p

Also, I know that Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is coming out in June. Any details on this game that sound cool to you? I haven't looked much into it, but I still want it!
 
Yes, it's coming out in "2011" I don't think any other details have been released.
 
I actually heard the OoT for the 3DS is set to come out sometime in the Summer (after the launch window of three months of the 3DS). I wouldn't expect Skyward Sword anytime soon (maybe even this year) with OoT coming out that soon.

Actually, both Skyward Sword and the OoT remake are set to come out this year in order to celebrate the series' 25th anniversary. I believe the OoT remake is set to come out this summer, while SS is most likely set for a fall release. The game has been delayed enough as is, and I've heard they're finishing it up, so I doubt it would be delayed another year.
 
It is true. And it's the coolest thing I've ever seen. It has this feature where it uses the motion deal to move the view as you move the DS, it's so cool.
 
Really? I am so excited! :D I officially need a 3DS now. But I heard Skyward Sword comes out in June, and I didn't know when OoT was coming out. It's my favorite Zelda game, I still play it on my N64 as well as Rayman and Banjo Tooie (I don't have Kazooie....wish I did) and Pokemon Stadium 1 and 2.....I love my N64 games :)

Skyward Sword has NO announced date so far. It's definitely not coming out in June, that's when Ocarina of Time is slated to come out. Nobody has any facts on the release dates, so obviously take these with a grain of salt. They will eventually come out though. It's a matter of when, not if.

Updated Water Temple graphics are just...amazing. Let's hope Iron Boot switching isn't so tedious in the remake!

Oh, well they did have a very detailed article on it. Wish they would have done that a year before Black and White came.
My guess is that we'll probably have to wait at least until summer. If they are still working on it now we may have longer to wait.
 
They had an article, but that doesn't mean they had a release date. I'm almost guaranteed it will not come out in the Summer with one game already coming out. That would just be silly (almost like releasing the third Pokemon game along with the two that came before it).

All I hope is they do is a special edition 3DS like they did with the GBA SP.

Then that would make this the best thing ever. It's the only reason (well Paper Mario and Mario Kart 3DS aswell), I would buy a 3DS as I have never completed the original as I can't beat the water temple ha ha.

I told you i just checked the article and confirmed that there was no release date. And it'd make sense if it came out late summer, because we have to wait for Japan to get it first. I still think late summer or early winter.

Haha the Water Temple is definitely confusing, but if you're stuck anywhere, change the water level! And remember: to beat Shadow Link easily, make sure you have Din's Fire and keep using it when he's near you. It's much easier than using weapons, since Shadow Link has all your weapons, just not magic. I got it eventually. Btw, awesome graphics! :D the Bazaar looks so much more realistic. I thought the original OoT had good graphics compared to some N64 games. And yes, if they had a special 3DS with a triforce on it or something, I would totally buy it and it would be my favorite DS ever! And my poor DS lite would most likely be abandoned unless I wanted to migrate pokemon or play GBA games
 
Skyward Sword is the prequel to OoT, so SS is being released before OoT is. Neither has a release date because they are to be released in order.
 
Really? Well OoT is my favorite game ever, so I can't wait to play the prequel! It's for Wii, isn't it?

That's not actually true. OoT is slated for early June, you can even go and pre-order it. (Which I have) Furthermore OoT is confirmed to have access to the Master Quest version, which I missed out on, so I'm incredibly happy for that.
