Pokemon legendaries-unique or not?

yes we did, and teeam rocket tried to capture it...
ofcourse ash and co were in the neighbourhood, but yes, there is a baby lugia...
just like there are baby latias and latios...

If I'm not wrong there are 2 deoxys one with a purple crystal in his chest and another one with a green one
 
Manaphy can breed more than once which would produce more than one Fione. Thus Fione is not unique.
 
I do believe there may be more than one of each Regi.
I believe that when the regirock first appeared in the most recent movie, Ash yelled, "Aah! A Regirock!"

This leads me to believe that there may be more than one of each Regi.

but if i'm correct: ash always yells :woow A....(fill in name of Pokémon...)
so if we have to believe him, there would be no unique legendary...
he also sais this if he sees ho-oh for the second time, he sais it when articuno flies before him, saving him and todd from falling in a whole (somewhere in the series)
he sais a lugia (this has been proven to us) and he probably also said: woow, a lucario or something like that...

he only didn't say it when facing mew and mewtwo...in the first movie and second time he saw mewtwo, he didn't say it...

so if we believe him, no legendary except mew and mewtwo is unique...

About the legendaries being unique, I've heard some of the character comment: Look! It's AN Articuno! So this may imply that there is more than one.
 
I think there is more than one because ash saw him for first time in one of the old episodes and for second time when he faught the frontier brain.
