Legends Awakened Has Disappeared

Over the past few weeks, I've noticed that in retail stores, the Legends Awakened packs have practically disappeared. They've vanished from Target, from Wal•Mart, from Toys R Us, and until it went bankrupt, from Kay•Bee Toys. Have people been buying them all?

(I'll never get my Uxie at this rate...I got Uxie Lv.X from a Target pack, and it's frustrating that I can't do anything with it.)

It's because they are out of print. So buy now while they last.

Out of print? That's the funniest thing I've ever heard. All of the stores in my area still sell SW packs. I don't think LA will be gone anytime soon.

And anytime we need to get LA packs, we can always buy them online.

I'm sure that they will re-stock sometime considering they may have older packs.

Have you asked them about it?

The people there are clueless of what it is they're putting up. I suppose I can dig up the wrapper of a booster pack I've previously bought. I hate buying things online as the postal workers where I live are unreliable and frequently miscarry mail.

I strongly suspect someone or a group of people have been going around buying them all from stores in order to prevent other people from getting them. I do see them in the 3-pack sets that come with a Power Keepers pack from time to time, but it doesn't explain why Platinum and Stormfront are still abundant.

It should be easy to spot a Legends Awakened pack, as it comes within a bright Naruto orange cardboard back.

Maybe the demand is just too high. People probably wouldn't buy them so that others can't get them. They would probably get it for themselves.

Also, are there any older packs there (single)?

Maybe everyone wants to buy them before the rotation for Uxie Lv.X? They may believe that Claydol will be rotated out, so they want to buy all of the packs before Uxie Lv.X gets so overpriced. That is, if Claydol is rotated.

But in my area, I see plenty of LA packs.

OMG I can never find a platinum pack yet theres two things I dont understand. so yeah here goes nothing,

1) me and some (3) of my friends are like the only people who play pokemon in thissmall town
2) THEY'RE STILL SELLING DF PACKS ARRRRRG

They still sell Dragon Frontiers pacs around here too. Power Keepers preconstructed decks are also pretty common.

As far as pre-D/P sets go, I still see packs being sold for Power Keepers, Dragon Frontiers, and Crystal Guardians by themselves. They're pretty rare though, since they typically get cleaned out when the store puts them on discount. Most of the packs are packaged by "Excell Marketing," which is apparently unaware of set rotation and continues to re-stock the TCG section of some Target and Wal•Mart stores with older sets, but not very often.

There are a few places that I see packs of Legends Awakened, though they're in remote areas or easily-missed department stores. I know of a Target, for instance, that's in the middle of an industrial area with tiny roads. It's far from any major roads so fewer people know about it than usual. Each time I check there, there's about 2 or 3 Legends Awakened packs left, though now even this place has none.

Set rotation is certainly not a part of the reason, as Legends Awakened packs have been scarce since the beginning of 2009 around here. Now that the Platinum set has come out and people have gotten back into Pokémon, the packs are flying off the shelves faster than ever.

yea, i still see CG, PK, the occasional Legend Maker running around in stores. just because people buy them in 1 area doesn't mean they are gone in others.

I can normally find LA cards in my area, either at Wal-Mart or Target. It's SW that's disappeared here. And at Wal-Mart, they are packed with SF cards, but no PL. They rarely even have the theme decks.
