Legends

1. Hard to search for and set up.
2. Costs you two prizes when KO'd.
3. High energy cost.
4. Bad weaknesses. (so far)

1. They are hard to set up
2. They take WAY too much energy
3. The effects of the attacks are terrible
4. They're just flat out BAD cards!

Bronzong should make legend decks see a lot of play, if you can get Bronzong set up fast enough. Energy shouldn't be a problem, it takes just a few turns. I have plans for Palkia & Dialga LEGEND, and it uses Bronzong. Legends aren't that hard to set up.

Off topic: My first post on an I-phone! It's pretty tough.

Why would bronzong help? Furret SW didn't help LEGENDs any. Bronzong is a bad furret: it costs an energy, takes a lot to retreat, and cannot really attack. Unless we get oracle within the near future, Legends will be impossible to play. Bronzong basically gives away a free prize, wastes an energy attach, and requires a warp energy/switch/warp point. It slows you down more than it does good. I think I'd rather see Smeargle as a starter in Legend decks...

ERL was played a little bit, but now it is just ok. I'm sure it'll see a little bit more play sooner or later. Otherwise, none of the other legends are really playable in a competitive environment. They are always too cumbersome to play

well the thing is is that ERL was used as a surprise, which is why it isnt as good if they know your playing it. If your playing it at say nats or worlds in luxchomp or something, you could spring it in one turn to win the game. Its almost like exodia in certain matchups. But even if they know your playing it, it forces them to not play as many uxies, which can cripple them.

Furret was never used because it got rotated before there were any good legends in the format. While Bronzong will never be as good as Furret, it will have to do because Furret has been rotated.

Since this topic actually has posts now, I will say this;

In our next coming set, Darkrai Cresselia Legend will see play imo.
Hitting for 100 and sending the KO'd pokemon into the lost zone is good.
AND, for 1 energy, being able to move damage counters around in any way you like is great.

With what it takes to build up bronzong, you probably could have built a legend. You should play it with legend box, utilizing dialga's reverse time with regiice. Like gyarados with sableye with a starter.

@minimidget precisely. A couple timely power sprays destroys that set up, but SSU can save it. Maybe Engineer's to discard an energy also. It is a lot of set up tho, and only reinforces the fact that it takes a while to set up a LEGEND.

I run a Legends Deck as my "B" deck.
(running MD Rotom, Vulpix/Ninetales for energy recycle)

It has some interesting moments, but has mixed results.

With the exception of ERL, it's hard to mix legends into a normal deck. The energy requirements and weaknesses will kill you.

I run a KGL deck and it works ok. I've manage to set it up T2 more than once, usually can get it T4/5 and I've decked people out and wiped out their bench.

LOLOLOL @ legends are hard to get out.

4 bebe
3 communication (4 depending on trainer lock in your area)
1 luxury ball
and a 2-2 legend.

I ran this for a br and had a legend t2 4/6 games. Attacking by t3.
I also used Jirachi rr as a starter. Free retreat, double bebe, free card when ko'd.

Wow, never thought of Jirachi... AND IT'S AWESOME!!!
Double Bebe's (Hope to go second) and start setting up Legend by T2. Dang, forget Bronzong TR, Jirachi is much better. And, it's a free attack, and it's basic.

If you build a deck around a LEGEND(Instead of using it as a tech) wouldn't Vilegars in your area prevent Pokemon Communication, Luxary Ball, and Legend Box use, therefore ruining your setup?

Whenever I use Legends, I always use the Legend Box and Dialga PL combo. The combo revolves around your Legend getting knocked out, Dialga PL placing the Legend and a Energy card on top of the deck, and then using Legend Box to gain back the Legend and Energy card, along with whatever energy comes with the other 7 cards.
My favourite Legend to utilize is Raikou and Suicune Legend, the stalling capibility is amazing! I use Sunnyshore City Gym to help soften the mighty Luxchomp's matchup and DCE to help speed up the useage of Aurora Gain! It's still kind of slow though...
Do you guys have any other interesting combos/engines to help speed up legends?

The Jirachi was a great idea, and that's about it. Bronzong could be good, but the Jirachi idea is much better. Oh, Indigo Plateau from HS-Triumphant will increase LEGEND's HP by 30, but Sunnyshore is better for the idea you're talking about. That's about it. There's not really a universal tech, different things work for different legends. Feraligatr Prime is good with Ho-Oh LEGEND, for example.

When Twins come out, Jirachi will be the prefered starter for Legends. Once Jirachi gets KOed, you can grab a twins that can get you another Twins and a Jirachi, then use Jirachi's Detour to gain another 2 cards from the deck. Next Turn, you play Twins and get a total of 4 cards out of your deck again.

^^I used this deck at a br a couple weeks ago. 2-2 rsl 2-2 blissey pl and other techs. I would've beaten a blaziken garchomp sp, but misplayed myself into a loss.
