Legends

Jirachi is such a brilliant idea 0.o (not that it would have helped me this past weekend, but still haha)

I'm thinking that Entei Suicune Legend has potential as a Pseudo Garchomp C LvX alongside Feraligatr Prime. Dump Four Water energy with 'Gatr, Snipe for 80 and return two Waters to your hand, rinse and repeat.

With a Standard 'Gatr deck, your already running copious energy, so Legend Box has a high chance of picking up a few energy after using it.

With a bit of luck, interviewer's questions, rare candy and warp energy you can easily set up a donk with 'gatr and ESL T1 (if you go second), or get a quick setup and consistent damage output for the rest of the game.

The same thing can be done with KGL, to cripple your opponent's bench. Feraligatr Prime is probably the best Legend support engine around, in fact.

Ho-oh Legend can be used with Meganium Prime and Sceptile SF to set up late game KOs, as long as you strip dying pokemon of Energy before they go down.

Celebi Prime is also a useful addition to combat their energy costs, using grass as the colourless energies and attaching the required colours manually, will have the Legend ready to use within two turns, without having to rely on lucky draws from Legend Box.

Nice post vareki! You gave me a couple ideas there! Suicune Entei legend is quite like blastoise but can be faster with legend box, jirachi-twins combo and feraligatr! It has less retreat then blastoise and more HP! Can hit for weakness on steelix, dialga, donphan and others. Problem is the weakness to lightning and water... I guess bubble coats could help the deck alot so You wont get OHKOed by your weakness! retreat the legend, play a super scoop up, and send him back for more pownage! I guess it works on paper... someone has to test it out though!

Legends have suffered because of three big reasons.

1. Most of them take a lot of energy
2. You need to get two cards and then power it up
3. It gives the opponent two prizes

In other words. They're hard to set-up and have a heavy cost. They aren't necessarily bad (except for Ho-oh and RSL) Thankfully this coming set gives us a few pros for playing them

1. Bronzong (which I think is better than Furret) which can combo with Bronzong SF getting energy.
2. Twins to get the Legends easier
3. (My personal fave) Porygon-Z lv X becomes playable to combo with Legend Box. Simply use Porygon-Z to get supportive Trainers, such as Legend Box from the discard pile. Use Mode Crash to discard opponent's special energy, and Decode to put two Legend Pieces on top of your deck.
4. Use Electrode to attach additional energy if needed. (This also allows Twins earlier access to Twins and BlackBelt)
5. Junk Arm to recycle Legend Box

When I was playing around with my legend deck,I was using 1-0-1 Exploud SV because weakness hurts, and I don't really want to give up 2 prizes

But Bubble Coat only works one turn. I'd rather run a 1-1-1 Exploud tech. At least it works for all of your Pokemon and doesn't only work for a turn. It's begging to get Bright Looked, however.
