BW/BW2 Location of Isshu (region)

Based on certain features of the regions (The clothes of the people, snow, deserts, etc.)

Hoenn is probably on the equator of the Pokemon world.
Sinnoh is either towards the North or South Poles.
Kanto and Johto are closer to Sinnoh.

But remember that the maps are probably not based on what direction on the Pokemon world that the regions are facing.
Sinnoh's north may actually be South on the Pokemon world.
The Sinjoh regions are most likely near the 'North' part of Sinnoh.

The Orange islands, and the ocean to the south of Kanto/Johto are probably also near the equator, as the Water is warm enough to swim in.
Hoenn may be to the east or West of Kanto/Johto, instead of south of it.

The Pokemon world is probably much larger than Earth.
Isshu is far from the other regions.
The clothes of the playable characters hints that the region is either hot, but cold enough to wear long sleeves. Or that the region has both a snow area, and an area near the equator.

Of course I won't base this theory only on the fact that Shikoku is unused. Many people started guessing cities after seeing the Sky Arrow Bridge (the bridge from Black & White). My first question would be, why? GameFreak uses only the shape of a Japanese areas. Real life objects/cities/mountains are mostly erased to start of with a blank region.

Eh? Most of the big cities in each region are in a spot where an actual Big City is. Saffron = Tokyo, Jubilife = Sapporo, ect.

I still have a feeling Isshu is New York Island, thanks to a certain guy's ideas to back up such.

I wonder how big the cities in the game will be like. I seems like Hiun city is like Jubilife City. Also I would like to know the location of of the Isshu region and how far it is from the other regions.

Nintendo explicitly stated that Isshu was far enough away from the original four to require a boat or plane trip there, so I'd say it's very, very far away.

the location really doesn't matter to me. I played pokemon all of my life, and I didn't care too much on the location, but, just to think about it, I would say that it would be somewhere in Japan. There would be no way that it would be the USA.

wait. so a new region is coming!? when?

In the 5th Generation games. They're getting released in Japan at the end of this year and in the first Quarter in the US.

dmaster out.

I hope that in the game the character can go and check out other regions, like Sinnoh, Johto, etc.... I heard that this region is far away from the other regions. The character probably has to go through either boat or plane to the previous regions. Or he/she can fly on a flying-type Pokemon which would be really cool.

Think about it, The business men in the streets, the baseball caps, the skimpy clothing on the girl, the (what seems to be) a food stand, and the big cities. This just breathes USA.

Business men- Japan is a very busy place.
Baseball caps- Baseball is the most popular sport in Japan.
Skimpy clothing- So you have to live in the USA to wear skimpy clothing?
Food Stand- Really?
Big city- -_- ...I'm not even going to bother explain that one.

the fact that he mentions possibly needing a boat or PLANE to get to this region gives me an idea. No plane has ever really been in the games, so it would be funny that he mentions it. Also, it was mentioned that there would be a new vehicle, never before seen. If this is true, then what could the plane be used for? Maybe there will be an extra area, like battle zone in sinnoh.
Also, you see a parachute man in the picture of isshu.

No matter where the region is based, it will be different from usual. Whether that means in Japan or not, it will be interesting to see. I'm hoping for outside of Japan, maybe Canada,(Hehehe...) or Austrailia. USA would be interesting as well.

... hmm... I've looked at the map of isshu... and It reminded me of something... It looks a lot like the city of new york...

But, there is a very sad part to this... The desert in this region is the place of ground zero of 9/11...
Ground Zero is a very sandy, deserted place, and can be the desert in this region... very sad. ;_;

Note, I do not take credit for these; I am simply posting them here as it was majorly overlooked in the corocoro thread. Both are made by FlyScorpion and were found by him.

First off, central park, second, the rivers curve exactly as the rivers in isshu does. It seems rather perfect to not be long island, and if its not, I will be rather surprised.
