Strategy:

Let me just start off with saying this is just something that got me thinking a little and the entire deck was just written down right on the spot. The idea is to have a seismitoad grass version, that has consistency in mind.

Main attackers is Trevenant Ex and Ariados, Trevenant EX is for an early attack turn 1, and Ariados should be the main guy on the field for an even prize trade.

My question here is, can this work? I'm not sure if these guys can dish out enough damage, this is really just a concept that I was wondering could actually be effective or not.

Oddish
– Grass – HP50
Basic Pokemon

[G] Trip Over: 10+ damage. Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 10 more damage.

Weakness: Fire (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 1

Gloom – Grass – HP80
Stage 1 – Evolves from Oddish

[G][C] Drool: 30 damage.

Weakness: Fire (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 1

Vileplume – Grass – HP130
Stage 2 – Evolves from Gloom

Ability: Frustrating Pollen
As long as this Pokemon is in play, both you and your opponent can’t play Item cards.

[G][G][C] Solar Beam: 70 damage.

Weakness: Fire (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 3

Spinarak – Grass – HP50
Basic Pokemon

[C] String Shot: Flip a coin. If heads, your opponent’s Active Pokemon is now Paralyzed.

Weakness: Fire (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 1

Ariados – Grass – HP70
Stage 1 – Evolves from Spinarak

Ability: Poison Nest
Once during your turn (before your attack), you may use this Ability. Both Active Pokemon are now Poisoned. (Excluding [G] Pokemon.)

[G][C] Corner: 30 damage. Your opponent’s Active Pokemon can’t retreat during your opponent’s next turn.

Weakness: Fire (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 1

Giant Plant Forest – Trainer
Stadium

Each player’s [G] Pokemon can Evolve during the first turn and on the turn they were put into play.

This card stays in play when you play it. Discard this card if another Stadium card comes into play. If another card with the same name is in play, you can’t play this card.

You're going to be in trouble as well when you have Vileplume on your bench... You rely too much on Items yourself. With the upcoming set, I do think Trevenant has potential (Mega Sceptile will be a great teammate) But I'm not sure if it will be enough to win the game in this case. You may not get as many energy as you need, especially if you can't use professor's letter. I suggest you add more supporters.

- VS Seeker
- Ultra Ball / Level Ball
- Enhanced Hammer
(Not all of them ofcourse)

+ Pokémon Fan Club (When a pokémon gets knocked out late game, how else do you plan to get new pokémon on your bench)
+ Team Flare Grunt
+ Shaymin EX (With these adjustments, you may not be able to use a draw supporter like Sycamore or Birch. This will help your set-up)

I hope this helps! I don't have much time now, will look more into it later,

if you look at a deck like Vilegar from the past (Vileplume had the same ability) most of the time the deck ran 0 Item cards, and if you want Vileplume out T1/T2 you'll just have a hand you wont be able to use, i'm not saying take them all out as this format is very different (lysandre your plume for KO!) but i totally do agree with the person above me.

Yeah I think I forgot about the self-lock midway through, just ran out of cards as I wasn't too familiar with disruption supporters.

I'm glad to hear there might be potential for Trevenant EX as I really like that card.

Though the question I'm curious about is whether or not this deck can actually do enough damage to be good? It's 40 or 50 per turn with muscle bands, plus guaranteed poison for 10 between each turn without virbank, is that enough?
