Looking for a Collector's Guide

I'm looking to get ahold of a collector's guide/price guide for Pokemon cards. Any suggestions in regard to which book is the best?

RE: Collector's Guide

The Beckett Pokemon Collector Price Guide Magazine has always been one I've used, and that many collectible stores that I've gone to have also used. It specifies every set, with each card and indicates their individual price and rarity! I'd recommend ordering an edition if you want to see how much your cards are worth. If you are trying to put your sets/cards in order, it's also a very helpful source, as the card scans on the main PokeBeach page is also! If I'm correct, Beckett also has an online site as well! :)

That all sounds like a perfect idea! Thanks! :)

I should have also specified that I'm looking for a guide that covers cards from the first edition release up to the latest Black and White set. It would be nice to get a guide that takes care of everything as opposed to having to buy one guide per year and ending up with like 12 different books.

RE: Collector's Guide

Beckett's is decent for current stuff. For a lot of the older stuff I recommend Pojo's. (Very old book)

RE: Collector's Guide

For prices, the best thing to use is Ebay completed listings. It is the most current price guide out there. Beckett prices reflect what they feel the price should be not what the market actually has the prices at, and Pojo is really old.

However, you could use Beckett magazines and what not to keep track of all the sets and cards, but then again, you can also just use the checklists found on pokemon.com
