Looking for a good deck for beginners

Hello everyone, I hope I am posting this in the right place

Okay, so I started playing the TCG a few months ago and after playing countless matches against myself and online (with theme-decks) I decided it was time for me to play in a league. But now I have a small problem. I need a deck to play there.

I don't really know what to start with. I have been looking at a deck like Plasma basics but I find it a very expensive investment (that I can't afford right now). Therefore I am wondering if anyone has a suggestion for a deck I can play in my league when it begins in mid-august. I have a budget of about $120 and I don't own many good trainer-cards yet ^^

Maybe you should try out Raticate/Hypnotoxic lasers. Google the decklist. Its a fairly simple and fun deck.

That looks like a very interesting deck! I'll definitely check it out I guess I'll try to post my deck list when I've completed it on the forum to see if anyone thinks I should add something

If you aren't going to worlds plasma isn't worth it because the Pokemon are coming out in tins soon. I would suggest running Darkrai EX/Sabeleye/Absol, you can google that decklist or find one on here.

Okay, I looked a bit into it but I'm a little in doubt of something What Eelektrik am I supposed to use? The Dark Explorers one or the Noble victories one?

If you aren't going to worlds plasma isn't worth it because the Pokemon are coming out in tins soon. I would suggest running Darkrai EX/Sabeleye/Absol, you can google that decklist or find one on here.

Gallade/Mewtwo-EX/Gardevoir? It's non-Meta, hits hard, it's really fun, it has worked really well for me. AND IS ON BUDGET! The most expensive cards in there are the Pokemon Catchers(~$15 a piece, I run 3) and the Mewtwos(~$10 a piece, I run 2).
