LOST. Epilogue synopsis posted! Don't read if you're too much of a wimp and don't like spoilers.

Meh, I have a bunch of other questions, but the only question this epilogue brought up is, why is Walt special? Is he special in the way Locke was? Because Locke wasn't special. Not even going by Samuel's word he wasn't special. Richard visited him because Locke told him too, and Locke was someone who was blinded by his own ignorance and hubris. He wanted to be like Ben, and eventually Jacob. Walt obviously has special powers (1x10 "Special" where the bird flew into the window, and when he communicated with Michael in The Swan), but what are they? Also, how can he help his father "move on" with everyone else? Michael and Walt weren't in the church so that leads me to believe he was unsuccessful, because once everyone has died they appear in the flash-sideways, so unless Walt NEVER died and he NEVER made his father move on, then I'm totally confused.

Michael wasn't in the church because his 'ghost' (the whispers) is still on the island, he did some 'bad things' so he is not allowed to move on.

I know. But Ben said in the epilogue that Walt was supposed to help his dad "move on", which would mean he would be in the church. Because the flash-sideways has no time, if Michael was ever at any point in time freed from the Island, that would mean he would be in the church, or at least in the flash-sideways. He wasn't, and neither was Walt. Because only people who have DIED end up in the flash-sideways, that leads me to believe Walt never died once he took over for Hurley (assuming he did). So Walt stayed on the Island obviously, but never helped his father move on. That's at least how I see it.

I havent watched the show since the second season and I just don't understand.

That's mainly your fault. Many people can't keep up with every character's background or what the character is doing/ is at.

^this. People complain all the time that they don't understand LOST, and it's their fault they don't. Some things like the unanswered mysteries are different than understanding and keeping up with the current plot and what's going on with that episode.

And they don't get the hidden goodies :3 Like the bible in Lost. There are so many Easters with the Bible.

Meh, that would make sense. But I haven't seen the epilogue yet, so I don't think I can say anything that makes sense about it. I'll watch it when the dvd-box is released :) Than I'll have a comment :p

Coolest thing ever, yes or no?

Ahaha that's great. I'll buy the CD 'Hurley' ;)

I want to keep this thread aliiiive.

http://www.amazon.com/Lost-Encyclopedia-Tara-Bennett/dp/0756665949

Tera Bennett and Paul Terry, who I have actually met before at Comic-Con, have created the LOST encyclopedia that I strongly, STRONGLY recommend you buy if you're a new viewer of the show or have watched it from the very beginning.

http://screencrave.com/2010-08-11/losts-michael-emerson-terry-oquinn-looking-for-new-show/

Michael Emerson and Terry O'Quinn talking about a new show? More of that please. MUCH MORE.

Here's a nice cast photo. Why Matthew Fox is all the way in the back I have no idea.

Also, I appear to be a total moron.

The Man in Black was always referred to in the scripts as "Man in Black," and it was never revealed in the scripts -- not even the finale. Damon and Carlton had to cast an actor to play the role, and when preparing the casting breakdown, they knew they had to include a name. They knew fans got the casting breakdowns, so they couldn't call him "Man in Black" because that would be a big red flag for fans and would reveal too much too early. So the name "Samuel" was used since it was only for the casting breakdown.

It’s unclear why production used "Samuel" as opposed to "Man in Black" for the chairback. Titus didn't know his character's name since he never was named, and he may have told someone in production the name used for the casting breakdown and sides. (The breakdown also listed him as a corporate raider, and that obviously isn't what his true job was.) But it was just a placeholder name and was never meant to his real name.

This thread will never die. I'm not ready to let go!

Oh yeah I'll buy the encyclopedia one day that's for sure.I hope it isn't one of those "What we know about the island so far" kind of things though. And no worries this thread shouldnt die within the next 2 weeks. We still have some fun pieces such as bloopers and deleted scenes to entertain ourselves. But after that....

One more week! Did anyone see that interview Matthew Fox had on Jimmy Kimmel, where they unboxed the complete LOST Series on DVD, and showed some extras like this scene between Matthew Fox and Jorge Garcia when they weren't filming? I'll try to find a YouTube link, but it was pretty funny.

I'm gonna buy Season 6, I'll probably be almost done with Season 5 by then, and Season 6 probably won't be on Blockbuster right away.

Oh man, was browsing youtube and found this:

Made me tear up a little :'[

Edit; I like this one better:

When I remember first watching this episode, I was like "Oh, a flashback!" Then you figure out it's the Hatch [Swan] . I was like "Lol, wut? 1970's stuff on the island?"

During the Epilogue, I felt that Ben was hogging the camera time. I liked it better when everybody beat him up :[

thread is almost at 200 posts! to celebrate, here's a video of ign unboxing the lost blu-ray set. no big deal.
