Actually that was what I have been doing. Still, I could use better quality. My older ones were .jpg and looked even worse, lol. But thanks for reinforcing the idea. :)

I need to note this:

"When ever you finish a piece of art, never save it in a JPG format. The quality then becomes horrid looking. Always save in a PNG format for the best results".
 
I know. My transparency effects are old news now; I figured out how to make it work without having to do that. :p

Your tags are ok, you still need work. Try adding more effects, C4Ds, smudging, gradients, etc.

Also, I see that your files are .jpg, that makes quality worse than the original quality. But .png keeps it the same, so it's perfect.

Thanks guys, it really means a lot. The Gizamimi Pichu banner and avvy really brightened my spirits over my banner-making. I'll work on some more today. :3

They Pichu Banner is perfect, but the avatar is kinda "dull", and the Pichu art used is to pixely. Try changing to one of the banner Pichu's. Just some thoughts, keep up the good work.
 
Thank you for your advice. The image was a bit pixely but the strange thing was that it was exact size, I never had to enlarge it. I'm glad you like the banner. =D

I have some new artwork. I was working on some banners and avatars for two awesome PB members- TofU and Cheetor. This is not a shop just to let everyone know. Occasionally, though, I will make a banner or avatar for someone if I'm PM'd on the forums or chat. Well, might as well show you my latest editions to my gallery:

Well, this is about it, but soon I will have a few more since I'm not finished with private requests. Do not use these banners for personal use; they are under use of the members I made them for. So please post and comment. This is some of my best work. :3

Here is my critique:

Tags/Banners/Signatures:
These are good. Could use some work, but they are better then most. Try using more effects in some, messing around with brushes, and add some overlay.

Avatars:
These are very good! If you hand drew the Pokemon in them, you would almost be as good as Xous. I did notice one thing on the Gizamimi Pichu Avatar. It looks rather "Pixelized".

Overal rating:
Tags/Banners/Signatures: 7.5/10
Avatars: 9.5/10

Good Work! Keep it up, and you will only improve!
 
Yeah, the pixeled Pichu was just the image I got. I didn't even have to resize it but I guess it's pixel-like quality was purposeful and is probably a matter of taste, lol. I didn't like it because it looked too much like an oversized sprite.

Anyway, I appreciate your comments. People always tell me to try new additions to my banners which I'm always learning more and more everyday on GIMP. Regarding the avvys, I appreciate your comments. I like to do avvys more than banners recently because with avvys, I usually know what I'm doing more and I don't get myself in to problems, lol. :3
