Lucky's Fiery Den of Art

RE: Lucky's Fiery Den of Art (asdfghjkl)

I suppose that's true. It's easier to pull it off with a Magikarp than it is a Stunfisk. Although, I would like to see it. If I liked the first Stunfisk sweep I saw, I'll like another.

I love chibi things. <3

A little messy, but I don't care. :p Kyka's still a really adorable puppy.

RE: Lucky's Fiery Den of Art (asdfghjkl)

to cute!!! ;3

You did a good job on the color choice, the red and dark gray go great together.

RE: Lucky's Fiery Den of Art (asdfghjkl)

@Grumpigfarmer: Thank you! I'm glad the color match up as well; red and gray always go great together. ^_^

[THE ANIMATED AVATARS REQUEST HAS BEEN CLOSED] not sure how to word this exactly ;P

Yay, I actually learn how to scan and color comics! But all these white pixels are too pesky, so I blurred some of them. -.-
While drawing this, I realized the girl furry (or whatever you call them; I guess I'm a furry myself) looked a bit too much like Riolu. I tried to test with other colors, but in the end, blue won. And oh, it's just a three-panel comic. With cute furries.

No romance intended. They're students who go to this school, and the girl has lots of friends, and comforts them if they're feeling down, but who's the one who comforts her?

Yeah, after reading a few inspiring stories, I made this. Spread the happiness!

The font's a bit too scrunched together. On GIMP you can space out the letters a bit so they don't get squished (I think 2.0 is generally a good spacing to use).
For the figure on the left, the ears are monochrome and they have this strange white outline along the borders. The same white outline is present in a few other of the things as well. Methinks you need to edit the original color for those segments back in.

...An interesting little trick you did with the blending of colors there. How'd you do it? Use a gradient? A brush? A visual effect (like windblown)?
And why on earth do the lines look so...familiar? I swear, it's like I've heard it before.

Never thought of that. :p

Yeah, the one thing I've always hated about GIMP? The annoying white pixels that's left over when I fill in the color using the bucket tool. >_<

Or said yourself? :p

BATTLE DRAWING TIME!

Yeah, I know the quality is horrible. And don't get me started on the blurriness of the wolf's eyes. >_<

And oh, I don't want to get in trouble for not giving credit, so I'll tell you where the background came from. ;)

Wallpaper time!

The horizontal version:

I used Meritum Paint on the iPad to get this thing done.

Comments anyone?

RE: Lucky's Fiery Den of Art (asdfghjkl)

Is that a human head? A ball of fur? A storm cloud? What is it?

RE: Lucky's Fiery Den of Art (asdfghjkl)

...welp, did I forget to add in a description for it? All righty, here I go.

It's supposed to be the scenic Umbra Cave (a place I made up), so named for its luminous rocks. It is said that every full moon, the cave's formations light up the cave so that it is still bright even at night. People and couples go down there for the gorgeous sunsets and sunrises; one part of the cave actually has a viewing point at the seaside since the cave system is near a cliff. It is estimated to be somewhere around 2,467 feet deep, although scientists report there may be a underwater tunnel!

I guess the shining thingy up there is the light of the rocks, and the picture is supposed to represent the underwater tunnel.

...wait did I just describe a perfect cave in a booklet

RE: Lucky's Fiery Den of Art (asdfghjkl)

Okay, so it's a cave. Sweet; that's all I needed to know. For a cave, it looks great. Is that purple blob-like outline the entrance?

RE: Lucky's Fiery Den of Art (asdfghjkl)

It's the moon reflecting off the rocks. I guess you could say it's a hole in the ground. :p

I think I drew Sylveon wrong...

Sorry about the terrible quality. Stupid app got it wrong.

RE: Lucky's Fiery Den of Art (asdfghjkl)

DNA: No, it certainly is not. :p

So I was thinking of chibis and decided I wanted to do another one of my characters. POOF.

Medium: Pen and GIMP

Yeah, yeah, I tried to erase the white edges that annoys me so off, but sadly it seems like parts of it still remain. And oh, if you noticed the odd position of the open eye, that's not really my fault. I just have a hard time with eyes. ;-;

Also, I can't seem to view it on here. Is it showing up in the spoiler or not? If not, here's the link to it.

EDIT: Odd, I removed the title in the spoiler and now the image shows up...

RE: Lucky's Fiery Den of Art (asdfghjkl)

With dragon chibis' face facing forwards, I normally have a hard time with the placement of the eyes. >.<

RE: Lucky's Fiery Den of Art (asdfghjkl)

Hey, anybody who still cares fellow artists! I bring you a wonderful yet simple background! Great, no?

So, I got another marvelous work for you! Would you be so as kind as to open this spoiler and see what awaits you?

"A pink lemonade volcano! RUN!" shouted Monoray Grachrome.

Nobody listened to him and they all went blind. But Monoray was prepared. He wore swimming goggles and brought out a surfboard and surfed away on the sour lemonade.

That was great, wasn't it? I think I did a decent job for lineless art. You agree, yes?
