RE: Lugia Ex donk decklist

Dark patch only works on Dark Type Pokemon, so it can't affect any of the pokemon in your deck.

RE: Lugia Ex donk decklist

You might want to re-check what Dark Patch does.

Ether doesn't really work without Pokedex, but if you think it's worth it, good luck.

You have:
2 Emolga
4 Ultra Ball
4 Plasma Ball

Just to search for your 4 Lugia EX? You can cut some search options.

And in this deck Scramble Switch > Computer Search. You have a Lugia about to get Knocked out that has all your Special Energy attached to it, and an unpowered Lugia on your bench? Scramble Switch saves the day.

RE: Lugia Ex donk decklist

oh i though it switched you active with one of your benched and your opponents with one of their benched, sounds good to me

RE: Lugia Ex donk decklist

You said that you were trying to make a donk deck but if you are using emolgs to setup then the emolga are not going to be helpful for getting a donk.
instead of the emolga just use cards that will improve your consistancy.

Only 2 Lugias?
-2 Emolgas
+2 Lugias. If you're going for a donk it seems this would be your ideal starter
-1 Ether
+1 Switch. If you start with darkrai, your donk is screwed.
-1 Scramble Switch
+1 Comp Search (ur looking to donk not find urself a late game battle)
Strategy: Attach a dce to Lugia manually, and use skyla to get you colres machine. Need third energy, chances are you'll have one colress in hand or Comp search

I'm not sure why nobody has suggested this but your going to need 2 Sableye. Sableye will help you get a stronger setup over the first few turns so that you can stay strong throughout the game, which you will need because this deck is not built to play a long game with. If you plan on taking this to tournaments, you will need sableye. Also i'm just going to give you a heads up that you will rarely donk someone with this deck. IMO if your building a deck to donk with you have to run 4 first ticket. There are so many variables in going to a donk that its not even funny. To get a donk with this deck you would need-

To go first (50-50 chance)
Your opponent to only play one Pokemon
Your opponent to play a Pokemon with less than 120HP (This and the previous are why its hard. There isn't a card you can play to control what your opponents starter(s) will be. This is where the donk will fail most of the time.
Start with Lugia EX
A DCE
2 Colress machine.

I will grant you that Lugia is probably one of the easier cards to get a Powerful T1 attack. But donking will be a rare occasion. You won't even do it every tournament. I took a Landorus/Tornadus/Mewtwo deck to 3 cities and never once got a donk with the 3 most powerful T1 attackers in the game. Either you won't go first, or your opponent will play more than one pokemon etc... One of the conditions will almost always be wrong. DCE is only searchable through computer search, and if you go that route, you likely burn your supporter for turn to get it. Finally know that Big Basic decks are popular right now, some don't even run a Pokemon will under 120 HP. The Pokemon that you would realistically be looking for to donk in our format is Sableye, Tynamo, Squirtle, and Deino. Four of the many, many different Pokemon that will be in players decks at a tournament

If this deck is for casual fun play, I think its awesome and love the idea! My main suggestion would be to add 4 First Ticket to help meet those requirements.

If this deck is for tournament play, I posted all of the above just for you to take proper precaution and know all of the components that it really takes to hit a T1 Donk. Also unless your opponent is in a awful drought and they see you have a Lugia, they will not end their turn without benching a Second Pokemon, so anything past T2 will be extremely rare, if not out. Best of Luck!

You need to use Deoxys EX and Pluspowers to get the Donk on opposing Pokémon-EX. I think you should focus your Deck on that. You'll need a strong non-EX Pokémon to counter Sigilyph DRX, as well. I can't really think of anything better than Giratina PS at the moment. The Pokédex/Ether engine isn't very reliable, so I'd replace it with the four Deoxys-EX and Pluspowers. You should definitly try Shadow Triad, to get Colress Machine and Plasma Energy from the Discard Pile. I'd personally replace some of the Skyla with shuffle-Draw supporters, because they can help you put Plasma Energy from your hand back into the Deck.
