Luigis Mansion 2: Dark Moon

The problem I have with multiplayer is fundamentally getting good people.

People that don't rush for the Red Coins end up missing the Bonus for everyone.
People that don't look for clocks in Rush Mode and just spam "Hey" in the last room.
People that try to be the "hero" and don't save anybody on the last floor thus ending the run.

Granted most of the players are probably little kids, so you can't fault them too much, but some are just straight up trolls and either don't move or do anything until the Red Coin Bonus every floor or they play "keep away" with the key. I'm honestly lucky to have completed some 10F levels because Rush Mode is like trying to pull my own teeth when I try to play with people.

inb4 someone creates a Luigi's Mansion multiplayer team.

All right, who wants to help me create a game night of sorts? Where someday all of us get together and take on a ScareScraper? :p
Also, here are some tips to help on the ScareScraper.
  • Rush mode: Right at the beginning look for clocks and stuff. Once you have enough time, around 1 minute-2 minutes go around in the rooms and defeat all the ghosts. Try to stun and capture multiple ghosts at once, because it nets more gold. One Greenies captured means 3 G. 2 or 3 nets 20-60 G.
  • Polterpup mode: Can't say much on this one since I hate Polterpup mode and will only play it on Surprise mode. :/
  • Hunter mode: Defeat all the ghosts. Try do do it in pairs since that will help you with dense rooms, allow you to finish the floor more quickly, and cure you/other person of curses and traps. Also if you/other person is trying to defeat some tough ghosts, try to keep the other ghosts off them so that it won't end their streak. If there is a room that the map says has ghosts in it, but they won't appear and you've searched the furniture, have everybody except for one person clear out. Then one person in the room will dawdle around and then try to exit. Chances are a Gobber is lying in wait.
  • General tips: Locked rooms. Usually you can find the key by systematically searching a room. If that doesn't help however, try blowing/sucking on bushes and fans.
Can't think of anything else at the moment. Also I hope bumping this thread is okay.

I'll be in the team. I rarely play it, but am getting back into it. Currently at 2-1

I'm not _that_ great but I would be down. I don't like Polterpup mode either haha.

lol, someone took my post seriously. :p
I'd join, but the only mode I'm really any good at is Hunter.
(And... my download was deleted, so I'd be playing on my brother's version. Guess it doesn't matter but...)

So we have [member]Salamencetrainer34[/member], [member]Machamp the Champion[/member], [member]dmaster[/member], and [member]Keeper of Night[/member]. With me that's 5 people.
So we need to establish a game night and game session mode, and exchange 3DS FCs.
Let's try 8PM EST on this Friday, with a simple 5 floor Hunter mode Normal as a test? Any other suggestions?
And my FC is 1478-3063-5795, with the name Amphy.

Oh sorry, I forgot. Derp. So that makes 5 people. Even though we have more than 4 we could still make it work, like having your own game sessions. Let me think of more ways.

Alright, awesome! I don't know how we would make 5 people work, though. My friend code is 0516-7542-0799, and my username is Samzilla. My Mii is Chase.

We could always just sub people out and rotate so everyone gets a chance but that gets to be a little bit of a pain. It would probably be easier to find three more people so we could have two sessions going on at once *coughSotScoughChellocough* My FC is in my profile but I'll post it here for convenience's sake: 3523-2057-7150

Oh, you need to give friend code name too?

You don't need the name. Once the FC are exchanged it puts in the name you have automatically.

I would volunteer, but I don't feel too well right now (flipping morning and nighttime nausea every day that can go for hours on end), and by next week all of my sparse gaming time will be going to Animal Crossing. I'm sorry, but I must disappoint and coughnotjoincough. D:

So, unless anybody suggests a change, tomorrow night we'll have our first game session! So far I have dmaster and Machamp.
Also, I hope you don't mind, but I'm a little... trigger happy with the voice commands. ;)

Oopsies, I forget X_X Sorry 'bout that. I see you're not playing anymore, but if everyone still wants to play now, I'm up for it. I'll try to remember next time.
