Lunar Snakes — A Roaring Moon / Dudunsparce Breakdown

Hey PokeBeach readers, I just finished a two-week trip to London, Montreal, and Orlando to play EUIC, go to a Pink Pantheress concert, and play Orlando Regionals. I got 73rd at EUIC and 46th at Orlando, both with Chien-Pao ex. The deck has felt great in this initial format, and I’ve been having a lot of fun with it. But today isn’t about Chien-Pao, it is about my other favourite deck in this format, Roaring Moon with Dudunsparce.

Not only is the deck super powerful, but it is one of the most fun decks to play in the format. Using Run Away Draw with a derpy Pokemon like Dudunsparce is one of the most satisfying feelings in the game. You can...

I think the Dudunsparce build is superior to the koraidon build. You need the auto KO for zard

I agree, it is much better into Zard. Also much better against late game iono/roxanne

And it's better to have a draw engine besides Radiant Greninja

I just put this deck together last night and I am excited to test it out. Lucky for me my son plays so its an excellent teaching deck for him to learn with too

That's awesome you and your son can learn it together. The deck is super fun, so hopefully it gets you hooked!

I was just starting with the TCG when Roaring Moon ex came out. I used to hate it so much, because it was destroying my Palkia VStar deck. :'(

I played the Ancient box with Koraidon last month's ladder and I have grown to like Roaring moon. Even the ex one!

I've had a fair amount of success with this deck so far. Thanks for sharing! The extra draw Dunsparce provide does make a difference (at least for me).
