Ruling Lv.X Pokémon

No, because Lv. X no is a Evolved pokemon and Celio search basic or EVOLVED pokemon, i don´t know what is form more easy for search Lv. X?

You can´t search whit Celio or PETM.

L. X's is a completely different catagory altogether. It's not a Basic, nor an Evolution. But as this makes them inpossible to search for, Celio's, Pokéball, Master Ball, etc. all state you can look for a "Pokémon Card" instead of a "Basic/Evolution card".

No! You can't use PETM to search for a lv.X.

You CAN use Celio to do so though.

Lv.X is NOT an evolution card. It's just a pokemon card. You can search for a lv.X pokemon with any cards that says "Search you deck for a basic pokemon or evolution card"

just POKEBALL...

IT HAS A DIFFERENT TEXT IT JUST SAYS...

SEARCH YOUR DECK FOR A POKEMON IF I recall it correctly...

sorry so tired need sleep i forgot to press CapsLock

Does Empoleon evolve from Eevee? I am wondering because on my card it says level up but it does not show what Pokemon it evolves from like the rest of the cards do.:)

Level up cards don't evolve from anything. They are level up cards! You put the lv.X card on a pokemon card of the same name as the lv.X version. In this case, Empoleon lv.X is an upgrade to Empoleon and you play it on Empoleon.

can anyone tell me if I can evolve prinplup into Empoleon and lv up it into Empoleon Lv X in one turn???
Celio, PETM and pokeball cannot find Lv X

For the last time, Pokéball can, as the wording has changed. As has Celio's. PETM has very specific wording and conditions and thus cannot get it changed. And no, you can't do that, there's a ruling to do with evolving and levelling.

I think you can't do that...
BUT i'm not so sure it doesn't say at rulebook...

"THOUGH I I THINK ITS NOT LEGAL or in short you are not allowed to do that"

You mean if I were to play this card I would have to play it on the regular Empoleon card? I am not a player but I was just wondering. Is Empoleon a new Eeveelution or is it really a basic Pokemon? I just wondered because I am still trying to figure out the new Pokemon names and some I can't pronounce yet because they are not like any other Pokemon name.:)

Oh you think it's an eeveelution cause theres eon on the end? :D
No it's not a new eeveelution. (Glaceon and Leafeon are ;))
Empoleon is the last evolution of the new water starter Piplup. Piplup-> Prinplup-> Empoleon. And yes. You always play the lv.X card on the same pokemon as the lv.X card. Like I said on my post earlier.

Oh ok I got confused of that sorry but thank you for clearing it up because like I said I am still trying to figure out all the new Pokemon and I don't have my 4th generation poster from Nintendo Power yet but I will probobly be getting it soon.:)

Tsk tsk tsk. All this arguing about Celio's Network and Prof.Elm's Training Method and Level X's. I'm kinda surprised this went so far and not one person even bothered to look in the Compendium. Here's your answers, stop arguing.

The Compendium said:
== CELIO'S NETWORK (EX:Fire Red / Leaf Green; EX:Crystal Guardians)

Q. Can I use Celio's Network to search my deck for a Pokemon LV.X?
A. Yes, you can. Earlier card references of "Basic Pokemon or Evolution card" refers to Pokemon in general, which includes Pokemon LV.X. (May 10, 2007 PUI Rules Team)

== PROFESSOR ELM'S TRAINING METHOD (EX:Unseen Forces; EX: Dragon Frontiers; others)

Q. Can I use Professor Elm's Training Method to search my deck for a Pokemon LV.X?
A. No. Pokemon LV.X are not considered Evolution cards. (May 3, 2007 PUI Rules Team)

Pokeball has almost identical wording to Celio's Network, but there is no reference of it in the Compendium. Like in the Celio's Network ruling "Earlier card references of "Basic Pokemon or Evolution card" refers to Pokemon in general, which includes Pokemon LV.X." and Pokeball fits under that category too.
