Ok, how many times have you bought a, say, Secret Wonders booster pack going "I hope it's Gardy X for meeeeee" and not gotten one? 20 times? Ok, multiply that by 4. In thrid grade...ok, well it equals $80!!! You could have bought 2 Gardy X's on ebay. Sure, you will have 2 cards instead of 200, but if you really want that lv X, $25 doesn't sound bad, huh. So why do people on this site sell their Electrivier, Mag, Cress, and Gardy X's for $25? There are worth way more. And no, I am not typing this to drive up the prices of my Lv. X's, because I have non rofl
 
You could also buy those 25$ worth of packs, trade the 4-5 rares in there for the Lv. X and keep all the useful small stuff. That's what I'd do if I needed a card badly and got too much money on my hands.
 
I'm sure you have a decent amount of cards, trade those for the lv.x of your choice. Try not to result in money.

I built my blissey deck for only RM25/6 dollars. How about that...
 
Yeah i agree with you. i think some people buy 2 boosters and get a lv. X and say "oh, i only spent 8 bucks on this, if i sell the lv.X for 15, i win 7 bucks, and the other 19 cards!!!!! i´m so smart!!!!!! Everyone should love me!!!!! i´m a genius of buissines!!
And that card results to be a Gardy lv .x, and results that you get 1 of this in every 2-3 boxes, worth 100+ bucks. Then he offer the lv. X to everybody, and everybody thinks "oh, gardy is just worth 15 bucks!!!". then, when you try to sell your gardy in 25 bucks, everybody says: "its to expensive, the other day i saw a guy selling it for just 15 bucks!!"
And thats the "#$% problem with some "genius" of bussines.
Any lv.X is worth 25+.

Supply and demand, my friend, its that simple. The supply of LVX's is good enough to keep them in the 10-25 range.
 
^Yep. The exact reason that torterra lv.x is only worth like RM25/$7 from where I come from. Magmortar used to be RM45 then it skyrocketed to RM60 when magmortar went famous. Supply and demand.
 
lou cypher you are not taking in count the percepsion of the consumer, that affect more this tipe of goods since they are not petrol or corn. Besides the supply alone does not cover the 25 bucks, when you get 1-0 from one 100-bucks-worth-box. i buy 2-3 boxes of every expansion with a friend, and selling all the cards(rare holos, lv.x,rares & trainers) only covers the original price of the box. that suck. and all because of the geniouses that think selling gardy lv.x is a "so broken buissines".
 
If you were to be able to sell each and every card in a box (including commons), you'd end up with more as what the box is prized, meaning the LVX is pretty much a freebie.

It also depends on what people are prepared to cough up for cards. Do you want Yugiohesque situations where you pay 3x$200 so you can get a playset of cards that dominate the meta? Dont think so.

Considering the hundreds of commons and uncommons you get, you wouldn't be able to sell all. Never able. Even the rares. Junk rares like jynx and friends.

Yes, if you sum up everything in the box you will get more than the total worth of everything but you can't get the worth back still.
