M Charizard Y, Delphox

I like Pokémon more than Water Pokémon Master
Member
Experience: Intermediate, planned more for after August 2014, when Plasma Storm will *likely* become the oldest set in modified

Pokemon
  • 2 Victini EX - Plasma Storm
  • 3 Fennekin - XY
  • 2 Braxien - XY
  • 3 Delphox - XY
  • 3 Charizard EX - Flashfire
  • 2 M Charizard Y EX - Flashfire
  • 2 Kangaskhan - Plasma Blast
  • 2 Heatmor - Plasma Storm
    19 Pokemon, 12 basic
Trainers
  • 2 Professor Sycamore - XY
  • 2 Blacksmith - Flashfire
  • 3 Lysandre - Flashfire
  • 2 Elesa - Legendary Treasures
  • 2 Professor's Letter - XY
  • 2 Rare Candy - Plasma Blast
  • 3 Switch - Boundaries Crossed
  • 2 Super Potion - XY
  • 2 Protect Cube - Flashfire
  • 2 Life Dew - Plasma Freeze
  • 1 Master Ball - Plasma Blast
    23 Trainers
Energy
  • 14 Fire Energy
  • 4 Double Colorless Energy
    18 Energy

Strategy: Delphox is a draw engine, with M Char Y as the main attacker, of course. Victini EX for energy acceleration. Kangaskhan for filling bench, and Heatmor for disruption. Kanga and Heatmor can be changed out, but trying to find other reliable starters which compliment the core was difficult. Protect Cube obviously to prevent 50 damage recoil. DCE can be used on Charizard, Delphox, Victini, Kanga. Energy may be heavy with searching, but I've been playing since Blastoise/Gyarados Raid Dance way back in the day, just coming back.

Constructive criticism please, I'm open to suggestion, but I need reasoning on why I'm lacking or too much in something. Assume I can get any cards, Preferably anything Plasma Storm and newer.

Edited to coincide with the rules! :D ~Kecleon

Life Dew and Master Ball are both Ace Spec cards, you can only play one Ace Spec card in the entire deck...

What a baddie I am. I was looking up the cards through Pokepedia's search and it didn't have the Ace Spec text on it until I saw the actual card. Ditch Life Dew and replace it with....? Maybe another Professor's letter or something. Thought it was just a Tool, makes sense to limit it to 1 though.

Does anyone else have suggestions? I'm not certain about supporters and item cards in the current metagame are staples. Is tool scrapper and N as important as they look? I feel like Pokemon tools will not help my opponent so much when I'm dealing 300, but I could still use some help before I purchase too much money in new cards.

Suprise Megaphone will mostly replace Tool Scrapper, and every deck should have one or two depending on how vulnerable their deck is or if they have a Sableye to Junk Hunt it.

Get rid of Heatmor. You need a basic pokemon that can attack right away. A Mewtwo might be nice because you are already using DBC energy, but a Furfou or Buffalount might also be a good idea, maybe two of whichever you go with.

1 Kangaskhan
3 -1-3 Delphox
2 Victini Ex
2 Charizrd ex
2 M-Charizard Ex

I don't really think the deck will be all that successful to be honest. Charizard Ex and M-Charizard require too much energy, and do more way more damage then you are going to need most of the time. It's like bringing a bazooka to a gun fight. It might blow up in your face.
