Hi Shadowmane!

I'm glad to see you building your first deck in the standard format! With this said, here is some ideas to help make the deck run smoother.

- 1 Malamar EX. While I understand the concept you are trying to use, having three is a bit excessive and could be easily changed out for a better card if you are setting up more with Mega Sceptile EX because you are not running heavy on Darkness Energy to abuse Malamar's ability.

- 4 Tierno. For this deck Tierno is not needed and other types are draw support is better.

- 3 Escape Rope. This card isn't needed a much due to Float Stone being back in to rotation.

- 2 Switch. Same reason as before.

- 1 Trick Coin. Since we are lowing the Malamar EX count this should be lowered too.

(Optional) - 4 Shauna. You can opt to swap this card out for Professor Birch's Observations.

Here is what I would add.

+2 Float Stone. This way, Malamar can easily retreat in to Sceptile or Jirachi for disruption.

+ 4 Professor Sycamore. Having a fresh seven cards is a lot better than drawing three, this can also help you pull cards that you may be looking for.

+ 2 Fisherman. Helps put energy back in hand.

+ 2 Judge. This card is great for allowing you to disrupt your opponents hand if they're doing well. This can also be a great way to disrupt if you are already set up.

For the most part, Sceptile is a fun deck to play and I have had lots of fun building different variants of it.

Good luck and have fun! I hope this helped.

I don't feel Hoopa-EX is needed in this deck. A better card would be shaymin-EX or you could take out one tierno and Hoopa-EX for a 1/1 octillery line.
