MA Regionals

To anyone going does anyone have 2 cobalion ex? I also need a couple heart gold / soul silver metal energies. Lmk, I'm ready to run a SD. :p

I might have a couple extra metal energy for trade (HGSS or maybe even P!P) however like I stated earlier, my brother is using klinklang so I'm not sure... :/

[private]Fiiine mods, not a deck that I can counterdeck. I changed this part to be private for professionalism.~KA Ok sorry[/private]
Right now the top choices are:
Garbo
KK (because people dropped their KK techs)
Blastoise/Keldeo/BK EX with 2 scrapper

Well, those are my choices.

You really think Garbo is going to be THAT popular? I'm leaning towards KK but you're making me not want to play it >_>

I think Garbodor popularity is going to fall in Masters. There were very few people playing week 3 in my area (granted, 3 of them made cut, but that's besides the point) and people (like me) are going to be scared of all the Scrapper that people are teching.

Blah, you've played Garbodor before. You know that it's a great deck. It has great matchups across the board. And its performance at States, in all divisions, was proof of that. And, best of all, Pokemon.com posted an article about the deck, with a list that won in Masters.Seems like that would give newer players a chance at the deck. It will be mildly popular, the only reason I'm doubting the deck is that, yeah, it's expected now.

Why does this format suck so much x___x

I'm probably just gonna play KK and hope for the best. Everything else (except Blastoise but I don't have three beach and it has issues with KK) seems to lose to multiple decks also.

Uh, Garbodor had a pretty low win rate in Masters. After week 1, it didn't really have much success. Don't get me wrong, it's a pretty solid deck, and it totally wrecked Seniors, but when talking about straight statistics, it did not do great in Masters.

I'm still deciding on what to play. I've narrowed it down to just a few decks, including my awesome Secret Deck :3

Blastoise has problems with RayEels, Garbodor, and Klingklang.
Klingklang has problems with Garbodor, RayEels, and Victini in general.
RayEels has problems with Landorus, Garbodor, and Darkrai.
Darkrai has problems with Landorus, Garbodor, Klingklang, and sometimes Blastoise.
Big Basics has problems with Klingklang, Blastoise, and Empoleon RayEels when set up
Garbodor has problems with Big Basics and Blastoise w/ heavy scrapper
Is that the format?
fun.

So Klingklang, Big Basics, Blastoise with average amount of scrapper (lol) and Garbo seem like good plays.

And your right, Machamp, but it still is a solid deck, why it didn't succeed is either because less people played it or more people were playing scrapper.

I don't think garbo will be popular at all for Masters. Mainly because MA states was infested with Big Basics (best all around match ups imo) and not a Single Garbodor deck made top cut there as far as I'm aware. Also like Blah said they weren't very popular where he is either, and on top of that not a single Garbodor deck won week 2 or 3 in Masters (and if it did then it wasn't recorded) this is because everyone is expecting it now so therefore fewer people are going to play it. I would be more worried about Blastoise and Big Basics heading into MA regs as a Master, just saying. Unfortunately I have no idea if this applies to Seniors or not, sorry.

Also RougeChomp, where are you getting these Garbdor and Big Basics > Darkrai shenanigans from? Darkrai goes at least 50/50 with both of them >:c

I won't need to worry about Blastoise or Big Basics if I play PlasmaKlang SD :p (the version isn't really secret but it kinda is and it sounds cooler this way :3)

Is it my PlasmaKlang? :3
@TPM
Garbodor is not even with Darkrai. It is definitely in Garbo's favor. Big basics is a closer matchup, but BB has a slight upper hand.
SD = secret deck

I suppose Garbodor is at an advantage, but if darkrai is using tool scrapper or hammers, my results have shown otherwise. Also how does BB have an upper hand? Sure landorus hits for weakness but if the darkrai player can get a T2 night spear or if they run Max Potion and play smart, then those game changing multiple land's judgment should be a rare occurrence indeed. However this is just my experience with the deck, so I guess I might be a little off.

SD = Secret Deck? That's.... interesting... thanks!
