MA Regionals

I suppose Garbodor is at an advantage, but if darkrai is using tool scrapper or hammers, my results have shown otherwise. Also how does BB have an upper hand? Sure landorus hits for weakness but if the darkrai player can get a T2 night spear or if they run Max Potion and play smart, then those game changing multiple land's judgment should be a rare occurrence indeed. However this is just my experience with the deck, so I guess I might be a little off.

SD = Secret Deck? That's.... interesting... thanks!

Likewise, the Landorus player can also play Max Potion, which completely messes up Darkrai's math. Eviolite also causes problems for Darkrai, if you put one on a benched Landorus.

I'd say both Big Basics and Garbodor have a pretty favorable match up to Darkrai, at least in my experience. The Hammerhead damage just piles up way too fast. 3HKO's turn into 2HKO's turn into 1HKO's, it's just a mess, and if you ever pull of a Land's Judgment - especially if you don't have to discard the energy - it's almost game-losing.

Yes Landorus does play Max Potion but darkrai has something far more important, Sableye. With Sableye and Max Potion you force them to run through so many resources just to avoid constant lasers and catchers, while at the same time you can heal your attackers and get some "magic numbers" going with Hypnobank. Also Hammerhead is weaker than Night Spear, 140/30 is much stronger than 90/30 and on top of that Landorus has limited Lasers, Max Potion, and Switch while darkrai has a plethora of all three with Sableye (well Dark Cloak instead of switch.) N is also a factor that you can't forget, darkrai can make some crazy comebacks if he goes down several prizes early on.

I know I'm going against the norm here and my opinion could very well be incorrect, but I think that a lot of people are subconsciously underrating darkrai when he's paired against landorus simply because of the fighting weakness (although I'm sure just as many of you have play tested this match up extensively as well.) However I firmly believe that darkrai has an even or maybe even a slightly positive match up vs. landorus. This is based off of solely what I've seen/played around with this past month and I know that I'm probably being somewhat biased as well, but that's how I honestly feel about darkrai.

Anyways, I should probably stop arguing now since this thread is supposed to be about regs as opposed to TPM's possibly insane Darkrai rant, and you all probably know what I'm playing now. Drat, back to the drawing board. :p

I won't need to worry about Blastoise or Big Basics if I play PlasmaKlang SD :p (the version isn't really secret but it kinda is and it sounds cooler this way :3)

Is it my PlasmaKlang? :3

Yeah :p although it's not your list. It completely demolishes Blastoise and anyone who thinks 1-of Victini techs will save them.

Now I'm testing just the regular version of Klinklang because it's more consistent and has room for techs.

I'm really hoping my meta call of Big Basics and Blastoise is correct. Watch me play against Garbodor and Rayeels 9 rounds straight -.-

Nah Big Basics was too big for garbodor to be much of a threat. I think your prediction will probably be more or less accurate, just be prepared to face a mirror match or two along the way...

For all those unable to attend, The TCG portion of this event will have a live stream! It starts at 11am April 13 on www.ggslive.com.

Nice! Will you guys be streaming the Top Cut too? Or will it just be the Swiss rounds? Also will you be recording the matches for people to view later? :D

One week everyone!

If anyone wants to find me, I'm about 5'6'' with brown hair and I'll be carrying around a string Rangers bag. I'll be getting there pretty early, so feel free to ask me for a game or two.

also I would greatly appreciate it if someone happened to have a spare Beach :p

As long as it isn't KFV2 (in which case I would probably kill you) then sure :p

Yeah one week :D

Since blah stated it, if you want to find me I'll be wearing my blue Pikachu Shirt (again) I have Brown/Black Hair, and I'm 5'8 in height. I'll also probably be chilling with my sister who has her hair dyed partially purple.

Why not?! I'll have my Starman bag, either a Victini Hat or a Pikachu Hat, my hair is stupid and long, and I'll probably be with my Mom, who has her hair dyed partially red (I swear I didn't copy that from TPM :p). Hope to see you all there. I've never TPM before, so that's neat.

xD Well that's interesting.

Only 3 days now and counting. I was bored with nothing better to do so I made this countdown clock that will countdown until registration begins if you guys want:

PURPLE! \0/

I think I'm starting to get kind of excited. Still not sure what deck to play though. Usually I just pick something in advanced and test it for a few weeks before until I'm happy with the list and use that. But the deck I have now isn't testing as well as it could, and I'm just not sure if I'll end up playing it. Picking decks in advanced rather than testing multiple isn't usually the most effective way to go anyway, but I rarely feel like putting in effort to test more than 1 or 2 decks, especially in a format like this.

And ummm, if you want to say hi then I guess your best bet is trying to spot my Afro. That's all you get to work off of because I don't have an outfit planned out ahead of time like some of you crazy kids.

Afro's afro is larger than some juniors, he shouldn't be hard to spot :p

On the topic of deck choices, this format sucks, but I think I made a good decision and it's been testing extremely well for me. Half the game now is what you play against, so just pick something consistent and that works and hope you don't play against your 1-2 bad matchups.

...I might not be going after all...

My Grandfather died earlier today and the funeral might be on Saturday, if it is then I'll have to skip Regionals.

If anybody gets an extra promo card or doesnt want theirs PLEASE PLEASE contact me!! You can message me here on Pokebeach or on my Youtube channel! Anyone! I just need one copy! Thank you all
