Hi all! This is GarchompGuy here! A note to all: This is my second post on this site so if I messed something up just let me know, and I'll try to fix it.
I have stopped playing Pokemon TCG competitively because I hate the EX-dominated format. So in that spite, I picked up a few cards that I thought would be pretty anti-EX (note that this is an Unlimited Deck so it's advised you go to the Card Scans tab on the home page):

Pokemon
  • x4 Machamp *SF
  • x2 Machoke *TM
  • x4 Machop *SF
  • x2 Claydol *GE
  • x2 Baltoy *GE
  • x2 Spinda *Legend Maker
  • x1 Smeargle *Secret Wonders
  • x1 Azelf *LA
  • x4 Spiritomb *AR
  • x1 Pinsir *Legend Maker
  • x1 Rocket's Hitmonchan *Gym Heroes
Trainers/Supporters/Stadiums
  • x3 Rare Candy
  • x3 Float Stone
  • x2 Night Maintenance
  • x2 Gust of Wind (proxy for Pokemon Catcher)
  • x2 VS Seeker
  • x2 Junk Arm
  • x2 Life Herb
  • x1 Switch
  • x1 Luxury Ball
  • x2 Celio's Network
  • x2 Seeker
  • x1 Professor Oak's New Theory
  • x1 Pokemon Collector
  • x2 Broken Time-Space
Energy
  • x8 Fighting
  • x2 Rainbow
Possible Addition if I can make it fit: Misty's Cloyster *Gym Heroes (Can wall hard-hitting stuff like Yveltal or Kyurem)

Strategy:
Machamp wrecks EX's with Take Out
Claydol for drawpower
Spinda can draw (flippy though) and semi-wall EX's
Emolga for Basic support
Smeargle for energy support
Azelf grabs stuff out of my Prizes
Spiritomb evolves Machop and Baltoy
Pinsir, ha ha ha. This thing can wall stuff SO WELL! Stall til you can get some 'Champs or attach a Rainbow and solo a meta deck. Only vulnerability that I've noticed is Laser. And evolutions of course.
Rocket's Hitmonchan for Crosscounter. Messes with your opponent's mind whether or not to attack.

Edited to coincide with the rules! :D ~Kecleon

Greetings! First of all, welcome to Pokébeach, and enjoy your stay! It's interesting to see that some of the Pokémon TCG players really hate the EX format, and I totally understand why, as I also share the same opinion. I wonder if you would be interested in our little format called Complete Palace, which was created as a tribute for the original japanese format called "Palace", and to create a varied, interesting new, and most important: fun metagame. Feel free to join if you're interested in!

For the Deck itself, it's a really good counterdeck. I see why you decided to use Machamp, as it's the most effective against beatstick basics. As you also use Claydol, you don't really need as much supporter as other decks, which I also see in your trainer line. However, I'd suggest to add a bit more Spiritomb in order to lock current Trainer-oriented decks with only a few Pokémon but a lots of Trainers/Supporters/Stadiums. Bebe's Search is not really needed, I'd add a Celio's Network instead, as it's an Unlimited deck. You also should use Junk Arms, as they are really good in order to recycle some cards. Better than Night Maintenance in my opinion. How about Scoop Up instead of Seeker? I wouldn't use that TM either. It's not a Speedrill, it's not really needed here. Additional Spiritombs would do the same job, but better.

The reason I have Seeker instead of Scoop Up is seeker is consistent (not flippy), and clenches me the win if they have only one Pokemon on the bench. Bring up Champ, Seeker (now they only have 1 Pokemon in play, their active) and Take Out for the win. Or if the Basic is on the bench, Catcher (riding on this coin flip) the Basic, Seeker, Take Out for win.

I do agree with the rest of your advice, however.

Removed:
-2 Bebe's
-1 TM
-1 Night Maintenance
-1 Pokemon Collector (Celio's for an Emolga and, boom, Collector ineffective)

Added:
+1 Spiritomb (should I add one more??)
+2 Junk Arm
+2 Celio's Network

How about:

-1 Palmer's Contribution
-2 Life Herb
+3 Spiritomb ?

In this case, you can focus more on building up your strategy as soon as possible instead of recycling/stalling. You remove 3 T/S/S cards, so Spiritomb will be more effective.

P.S. I cannot write a P.M. to you. Somewhy it says "GarchompGuy has private messaging disabled".

Thanks for the comments! My deck is now modified with the changes in the original post.

Fixed the PM issue. It should work now.
