I ended up switching my vote to mord. And you know as well as I do that Town vs Town scenarios happen all the time.
That's completely irrelevant. We're looking at where you stood
at the time of your claim, not at the end of the day. At the time, you weren't trying to get people to switch to mord, you were trying to get them to switch to TSM. What's scummy isn't that your target flipped town, it's that now you're trying to pretend it never happened by shifting attention away from it and onto a target that hasn't flipped yet.
How is it strawmanning? I didn't belabor the point at all, literally the only thing I said about it was "scum is bound to kill me now". That's called stating a point.
K, so here's
my point: you stated/belabored/whatever yesterday that scum would likely kill you. You're still alive. In your first post, you didn't even bring that up––I'd expect at least a "whoa scum didn't kill me".
Not saying that indicates that you weren't surprised to not have died; i.e., you had some say in the NK.
You didn't respond to this point. You just said that belaboring =/= stating. It's a strawman because you took something I said that
wasn't a point, and tried to defend against it,
instead of defending against the real point.
P much any defense beginning with "if I was scum ..." tends to be WIFOM, meaning that it's a useless defense because it shows you-as-scum would have been actively thinking about it, and therefore thinking a step ahead. This one isn't an exception.
I was just saying that I had more votes than what you said I had.
See above. We were talking about the point at which you claimed, not the point at which the day ended. Stop trying to shift attention off the points on you.
[QUOTEAnd if you're so obsessed with the scumtell of people claiming early, what about
@NinjaPenguin?[/QUOTE]
They're completely different circumstances! You claimed early in an attempt to get pressure off you––which
is a scumtell. NP claimed early in an attempt to provide us with (admittedly useless) information––which
isn't a scumtell. Yeah it's a bit weird that he then said "don't put too much stock in my results", and has now basically disappeared, but that's a different thing entirely.
Remember there are 2 scum teams. What if the Coven actually wanted to kill a Mafia member and he ended up being town?
Bit confused here. What does that have to do with anything?
I don't agree with that. To me, Nick and Drac are at the same level now. Gekki is a few steps below them.
Okay, that's fair. Tbh I don't agree with the case on Drac, so w/e.
Guys, we have 3 trials to spend in a period of 5 real life days. I want to propose trailing someone today or tomorrow (in real life) at most, that way we can have the opportunity to trial someone else before Day 2 ends if the first trial results innocent. But I still want to know NP's vision of last night before casting my vote, which will be for Nick if NinjaPenguin doesn't respond by today.
We cannot fail on Day 2.
A'ight, this bit I do agree with. I'm down for a Nick trial––he's definitely still in my top few scumreads, and I think I mentioned yesterday that he's a good person to look into once we're well past RVS and we've got enough information. Will
##VOTE @TeamAqua4Life #HEYNICK atm; no Gekki you're not off the hook yet.
Sorry for asking, but what is this "strawmanning"?
Hi Pineapple, good to see ya. Where might you have been yesterday? Gekki and a few others (myself included) wanted a word. ^.^
