  • 4 Double Magma Energy
    4 Strong Energy
    2 Fighting Energy

Strategy:

Basically it's an improved version of land bats, but with a higher HP buffer and a stronger attack that requires less time to attach energies. (2 turn set up with double magma energy) and in that first turn you use magma pointer to deal a little extra damage. The Bats provide the already existing damage counters required for magma Groudons to attack to cap out. and they also provide the 20+ damage to hit 180, and silent lab shuts off Hawlucha's ability and Groudons ability, letting them both hit more freely.

RE: magma bats (magma groudon EX & bats)

i like the idea but slight problem with this deck. How are you attacking? Team Magma Groudon EX can only attack if theres 5 Team Magma Pokemon in play, according to his ability.

The 4-of Silent Lab is what he's using to shut off Magma Groudon's (horrible) ability - plus it lets his Hawlucha hit for weakness :)

(it's in his Strategy section too)

RE: Magma Bats (Team Magma' Groudon EX / Crobat)

You're forgetting one little point on double magma energy, it is discarded at the end of the turn it is attached, so i recomend to cut it to 2 and add more fighting energy and a landorus FFI for acceleration :)

RE: Magma Bats (Team Magma' Groudon EX / Crobat)

OH SNAP!!!!! I didn't read that part of it. I guess double magma energy is now useless, and this will take forever to set up because I was counting on the double magma energies. Oh well, back to the drawing board.

I like this idea, magma's groundon with bats, but in my opinion need magma's camerupt and claydol. Camerupt can take energie from discard and claydol move to groundon. Magma's zangoose is nice too, he kill safeguard and take basics in early game.

Double magma and aqua should be like future double dragon.

I'm testing this deck with this line:

3 Magma's groundon
2-2 Magma's claydol
2-2 Magma's camerupt
3 magma's zangoose
2-2 golbat.

Crobat is not necessary. Silent lab too.

Hmm I think your forgetting the part where "Ricardo Baltazar Perez" said double magma energy has to be discarded at the end of your turn...

P.S. silent lab is there to make sure you can always hit with Groudon, And to shut off Keldeo and Darkrai and other stuff like that, while at the same time letting your Hawlucha hit for 120 on Mega Man. It's kinda like hitting 4 birds with 1 stone.

I'm running the same kind of deck online and I run a mew ex to use his attacks and I also u team magma balls to get him out and an energy

...doesn't silent lab shut off the bats ability though?

no silent lab only shuts off basic pokemon's abilities, golbat and crobat arent basic pokemon
