Magnezone (Prime) from Triumphant (#96) [1/26]

1. How does the card stand on its own? Is it good, bad, or have potential? Is it worth being played?

It's decent right now, but I seriously think that Magnezone will see the most use next rotation, when draw power is limited to Noctowl HGSS, Dodrio SV, and Ninetales HGSS. The attack is really good too if you're not stupid with your energy.

2. What popular metagame decks could it be used in?

Magnegator's the gist of it right now. As everyone's already said, Rain Dance a ton of energy on and Lost Burn.

3. What combos can you use it with? How so?

See #2.

4. Give it a rating, and explain why you have given it that rating. You can also rate the card by rating the thread itself (out of 5 stars).

4/5 Overall I'd say. I've used Magnegator effectively against a few decent deck designs, including SPs, but it's nowhere near as fast as them or Gyrados. One thing that's nice though is that Gyarado's weakness makes it easy for Magnezone to deal with it. Donphan on the other hand completely destroys it.

5. How's the artwork?

4/5. I like it, but I'm not sure if I'd call it the best yet.

This card is a good card, meaning it is better than most. It has the potential to stand on its own, but performs much better with supporting techs. It is currently the main attacker and set up card, as well as face, of Kraken. It can be used effectively with Regirock LA and Super Connectivity Magnezone. Machamp SF and Dialga PL counter its weaknesses. I give it a 4/5. It has a high potential for decks centered around it and has an amazing Pokepower. The artwork is great, it's hard to draw a good Magnezone since it looks so weird.
