Okay, having a Super Mario Chess is one thing, but having Luigi as a QUEEN?
 
Yoshi is a good choice for a Knight, but Toad as the Rook? This is a joke.

I mean, for one, the idea is messed up, and two, they didn't even make the pieces right!
 
but if.. where was this made, if it's made in japan, i can understand because they probably have other names for the pieces.
i would translate the part you call knight there to walker, and rook to tower, every country is different in that, maybe the country that made this was, different with the pieces in a way we don't know?

Or Goomba for that matter, Koopas are obviously superior to Goombas, even in shell form...

Queen is of course only a name, the "queen" in this game can just be called the "Luigi". Making Peach the queen would've been icky, because we'd need 2 Luigis and Daisy wouldn't be in the game.

Oh well, at least mama Luigi is the most powerful piece in the game :p

Also, this needed more piranha plants.
 
I guess Luigi is the queen because he's more Mario's counter part then Peach is, and Peach has Daisy so the two of them can be the Bishops.
 
Goombas should've been pawns, Luigi should be Rook/Bishop, and Bowser Jr. should be a Knight or something. Mamma Mia indeed.

Luigi is queen because he is second in command.

You people are arguing over what character from a video game gets what piece in chess...I don't know you guys anymore...
 
Haha this is proabably fake, but why not Peach a s queen and Luigi and Mario like Knights...
